  The room was very clean and had been updated. It was obvious that the owner took pride in keeping the facility well-kept. He had flower boxes on the exterior to give it a more homey and welcoming look. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings in good repair. The location made trips into Monterey very easy. I think the room is pretty sound-proof. Bed and blankets are also comfortable and clean. Its worth the money and the stay was great! Would come back again if I visit Monterey. The location is very closed to Carmel, 17 mile drive.

It didn't come stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. but you could come prepared & bring your own. Fridge was a good size; microwave a plus! Also nice to have a coffee machine in the room even though you can get some in the morning from the free breakfast, which is always nice. I will buy one of those waffle irons some day! The pool is a great temperature.

The hotel is also well designed to allow views and access to the ocean all throughout the facility. This Best Western truly takes advantage of its prime location. Also it is very conveniently located right off the Highway 1, and is just outside of Monterey so the beach is primarily for hotel guests!
