  The young man who helped us with our car and bags upon arrival was very helpful and friendly. I asked him if the room had a refrigerator and he retrived one from storage and placed it in our room right away. The location was fabulous especially for a short visit as we literally were able to walk to everything. This was a good value for the money,... what people say » considering both parking and breakfast for 2 was included in the price of the room. - The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Wonderful breeze from outside (I left the door open all night).The staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. A great place to stay and I highly recommend Fisherman's Wharf Inn.

Hotel has great room for continental breakfast, clean and staffed making sure everything is stocked and working. Maid staff and front desk very friendly. Would definitely go back. - I was there for the mdi marathon. They moved up the breakfast so that they marathoners could still eat it. I thought that took some foresight and was very considerate. The location was excellent. I also liked the sheet that was handed out that told you favorite places in town. It was honestly a very good experience!

  The location to everything was perfect. We loved sitting on the Inn property relaxing and watching the boats during the day and at night seeing the lights of the coastal town area across the bay.   We liked that they designated a parking space just for us in front of my parents room because they were elderly and the rooms were clean and right across the road from the beach. The pool area was nice and clean as well. For an older facility it was very affordable and they didn't charge extra to use the second bed !(which I find is ridiculous a... what people say » fter you have paid to for the room anyway) Thank you for a great stay and we will be back - The Sands had an excellent location to the beach and downtown. The pool was warm and the room was spacious for our big family. The motel is updated yet not commercialized like a larger chain. We loved our weekend.

  Room very comfortable and large enough for a week's stay. Excellent bathroom, loved the long counter space, and nice closet. Nice breakfast offering every morning, saved time and money, but got a bit tedious, with the same thing each morning, but about as big a variety as possible for the circumstances. Loved the free bus stopping at the motel to go to town, that was a great plus! A warning - The Bar Harbor Motel provided everything we needed for our stay in Acadia National Park. It was close to the village of Bar Harbor but out of the hectic and crowded scene there. We could get into the park without having to go through downtown. There was a light breakfast fine for our needs, good TV, a very nice restaurant and brew pub right next door, with prime steak specials each night as well as good local brews on tap and a full bar (the Jack Russell Steakhouse). I had a problem with my baggage getting delayed and the staff on each shift jumped right in to help us track it and kept us informed while we went out. Tina even volunteered to call the airline! We also liked the location near but outside congested Bar Harbor. Clean and comfortable.
