  We really liked the apartment that backed up to the Alaska State Museum. It was very quiet and it was very functional. We cooked every morning and evening - lowering our travel expenses. It was located around the corner from a wonderful restaurant for breakfast and lunch and juat a block from a very well supplied grocery. The staff were very h... what people say » elpful and the shuttles to and from the ferry/airport were very convenient and efficient. Great stay - and we were there 8 nights total! - The efficient and free shuttle to and for the ferry terminal and the airport is a $100 round trip value. The drivers are knowledgeable about the area with good suggestions for hikes, tickets for shuttles to Mendenhall Glacier, etc. computer in lobby for printing boarding passes also helpful. And they let you check in as soon as a room is ready when you come in on a ferry in the early morning.

  Everything at this Motel was super - the staff, the location, near airport, near public transport, near Carrs supermarket, near Thrifty/Dollar. First place we stayed with proper wifi. The happy staff must get the stars though! - they were really great. Thank you Betty and Vanessa and all others, you were....SUPER!! Vanese took us into downtown to catch our cruise ship transfer instead of us taking the city bus with our heavy luggage. It was so kind and helpful of her to do this for us!

  Great People, Great almost everything, pet friendly. I don't think I've ever met a nicer staff at a budget hotel. 4star staff - It was clean. The staff was very friendly. The location to the airport was what we wanted.

  Have been staying at the Puffin for years. It's always a good place to stay. The staff there is exceptional.The general manager has been there for years, is a good leader, and also drives the shuttle!
