  We really liked the apartment that backed up to the Alaska State Museum. It was very quiet and it was very functional. We cooked every morning and evening - lowering our travel expenses. It was located around the corner from a wonderful restaurant for breakfast and lunch and juat a block from a very well supplied grocery. The staff were very h... what people say » elpful and the shuttles to and from the ferry/airport were very convenient and efficient. Great stay - and we were there 8 nights total! - The efficient and free shuttle to and for the ferry terminal and the airport is a $100 round trip value. The drivers are knowledgeable about the area with good suggestions for hikes, tickets for shuttles to Mendenhall Glacier, etc. computer in lobby for printing boarding passes also helpful. And they let you check in as soon as a room is ready when you come in on a ferry in the early morning.

  The motel was away from the hubbub near the Denali National Park entrance, yet close enough that we had easy access to the park. The room was functional, and had a refrigerator and access to wi-fi. Compared to other lodging in the area, the price was good. The advertisement in the Alaska Milepost indicated that wildlife might come through the mote... what people say » l grounds - we didn't see any on-site, but saw three moose directly across the highway to the east - wonderful. - Staff very friendly & helpful, close to Denali & Healy, good food at 49th State Brewery which is just down the road. You get the feeling of being away from it all for example a moose was grazing at the hotel when we got there. Nice to have fridge & microwave in room.

  Our view from the room was wonderful, we watched the sea otters play in the harbor between the docks. Beautiful snow covered mountains in the background. Window open to the east to watch the sunrise. We could walk to shop & eat, saving gas and getting a little exercise. - The views are always great. If your from the Lower 48 this is not a 5 ... what people say » star hotel. If you want clean, dry, warm close to places to eat and the fishing harbor this is it. I stay here a few times a year and have always been comfy

  Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Continental breakfast included was simple but nice. Clean and neat rooms, but not luxury. Plenty of sleeping space with two beds and a pull-out chair. Mini-fridge with microwave. Balcony with chairs and nice view of mountains, harbor, and campground. Easy walking distance to all parts of Seward: dining, shopp... what people say » ing, hiking, entertainment, etc. - Great place, friendly staff. Little balcony in front, watched some kiddos playing baseball. Walking distance to pier, good food at chinooks, clean, convienient, great stay. Small continental breakfast but filling. Fan in room. Would definitely stay again. Glad we booked.

  Have been staying at the Puffin for years. It's always a good place to stay. The staff there is exceptional.The general manager has been there for years, is a good leader, and also drives the shuttle!
