proximity to the subway...cheap transportation, easy to access. reasonable to take a cab to this location. Hotel extremely clean, wonderful rooms, air conditioned, wake up call and full access to internet. Staff friendly and helpful. excellent value for $. One of New Yorks best kept secrets. Nice room, pretty kind staff, perfect for a short stay !. Nice and clean. Close to the train station and Manhattan. Near the subway station. Confortable and clean hotel. overall positive, claen, and exellent price. convenient. The benefits of the Hotel are Cost, Comfort, Cleanliness and Connections to Manhattan via NandW lines from 39th Street and JFK via the E line from Queensboro. Also only $15-$20 from downtown in a cab. The area is industrial and first impression are not good but as you spend no time there it's not a problem.The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Subway station right aroundthe corner with trains running 24/7 every 10 to 15 minutes (15 minuteride to Times Square. Continental breakfast was good and convenient.Flat Screen tv and well working Heating/AC unit. Free Breakfast with good variety of food. Newnness of the lights and bathroom. Lovely bed.Nice room, new. Very small and near the subway. new. Very good combination of comfort, price and access to the city (by subway). It would have been nice if the curtains closed rather than being just a decorative feature. The black out blinds are o.k but didn't block out all the light and it would have been much better if you could fully close the curtains as well. Small Lobby with small breakfast area. Most mornings, tables were taken.We took breakfast to our rooms. Trains passing nearby were a bit noisyat night (not very good for light sleepers. Noise did not bother mebecause I use ear plugs anyway). Area, mainly industrial, seems to besafe but not kept up very well. Weeds and broken glass on walkway.The towels in bathroom could be thicker. Noisy due to subway trains passing often. The surrounding is a bit strange (but interesting to see). Poor breakfast. surroundings of the hotel seems horrible ( a lot of litter everywhere) but not dangerous. no parking space within the hotel. No place to have dinner close to the hotel. Have dinner before coming back, or bring it with you.the area is a bit scary for people from out of town. Breakfast could be better. No safety deposit box in the hotel room and upon leaving the valuables with the hotel staff at the front desk this does not seem to be a much better option with hotel staff not too concerned about ensuring the security of the valuables.The noise during night due to the hotel's staff and other customers; thewc didn't work very well. It's very noisy, the trains pass all the time. So it's not possible to keep the window open and the air conditioneer is too near the bed so you can't keep it on when sleeping. Scaring neighbourhood.
