I liked that the hotel's location was only 3 or 4 blocks away from the subway. The bed was fabulous, king size. I couldn't get up early enough because of it. The view I had on the fifth floor room 501 wasn't he greatest. I could still see the city, but I thought the hotel would be closer to the Manhattan view. It's great they had a restaurant downstairs hat offered happy hour but I never took advantage. The shower was fantastic. Thy had he shampoo, conditioner and shower gel separated. Smart an.
all reviews » We like the open spaces both indoor and out. Lots of places to gather with family or friends. Our room was a king-size room and comfortable and clean. We had a skyline view of manhattan. Location in LI City was great. Close to the subway.Staff was very friendly. GM met with us briefly late on a saturday night because we were in town briefly to begin planning for our son's wedding. What a great surprise this hotel turned out to be ! Just across the bridge from Manhattan and close to a subway station, it was superb with views from the new World Trade Centre to the Rockefeller Centre. The room and bathroom were quite large and there were coffee and tea facilities plus the window opened so you could escape the air conditioning. The staff were really helpful. It was close to the Metro station (10 min walk south) and from there you can be in Times Square in 15-20 mins. The rooms are always clean, you have everything you need in them. The staff was friendly and helpfull, I was able to check in room earlier than advertised. Food in restaurant is really good! Total experience was really great!. The hotel is definitely recommended. Personnel on the reception desk supported a lot, and when a problem arose, resolved it quickly and efficiently. I really appreciated it. Some rooms and a top terrace have a splendid view on Manhattan and Queensboro bridge. Location is ok, just a 5-7-minute walk to subway. This hotel has fantastic staff, very customer centric in particular their management (Dimitiri?). They went the extra mile when they did not have to. I had my car broken into and they accomodated my car in their already full parking lot. I will recomend everyone I know and will definitely be back. The hotel location is close to the N, Q, and 7 lines at two different subway stations. This gives easy access to Manhattan as well as to visit other New York areas. The neighborhood is safe to walk back to hotel from subway after shows at night. location and the price. There are three subway stations within 10 minutes or less walking distance from hotel. You can be in Manhattan in less than 30 minutes. We feel safe walking back to hotel from subway stations at midnight. Very clean, comfortable. Great management and staff. Didn't notice it until we checked out. I misread a breakfast menu in the room and thus missed having breakfast delivered - my mistake!. Some rooms (at least the one I stayed in) have doors that connect to other rooms, so depending on your neighbours sometimes it can be a bit noisy ;) But it never lasted after 10 pm. Room cleaning is ok, but not perfect, especially the floors. Sometimes the cleaning maid forgot to leave new paper mugs, which is not a tragedy, of course, but but... Location is fine, but some taxi drivers are not familiar with places outside of Manhattan. It doesn't concern, however, the drivers at jfk. But in the downtown not all taxi agreed to drive us to the hotel. None. Price is good but not too cheap for the area. Still good value for money but I would expect breakfast to be included with that price. Then it would be great value for money. It's located in nicer area of Queens but it's still Queens so a little more bohemian than Manhattan. Smallish for a Four Points so no Pool, breakfast buffet etc that you get at the larger hotels. Restaurant closed too early, no mini bar & no fridge in room. The neighberhood wasn't very nice. Paying for parking. More towel racks or hooks in bathroom. That's it!. our room with the view of 3 big chimneys - quite an eyesore. Lack of clothing storage. Noisy door closures. The location is not convenient. attention in the hotel´s restaurant was very bad. Did not feel comfortable walking the street at night. breakfast didn't have a big variety. cramped tight spaces. N/a. Neighborhood, would have liked a tub. Room was a little small but I guess that's NY. Bed is not to comfortable and it's not too much space.. the area is a bit shady but on its way up. Some pipe noise and the doors make loud noises when they close as well but otherwise very nice rooms. Nothing all good. Nothing. No fridge in the rooms. Bad parking. In the middle of nowhere. No proximate reliable taxi pickup location. Keys don't work 50% of the time. Housekeeping is unreliable; room may or may not be serviced. Rooms are very small. There is music in the reception hall, and they gave us a room just above. We came back to the reception and they changed it without any problem. The breakfast is very poor, you can find a typical american place close to the 39th underground station with the typical waitress. 1. it is a bit noisy. The area noise and the door closing noise of the hotel are very loud. 2. a little bit expensive for the room fee. No bars or restaurants in surrounding area. Felt unsafe walking from subway, especially after dark. Housekeeping always forgot something as toilet paper, towels, water, coffee etc. Front desk reacted most of the time to replenish missing articles. Suggestion train the housekeeping and do not forget to follow up the result. Wasn't a great neighbourhood,. Maid service was very poor. Rooms are small. Bathroom fixtures are of inferior design. no breakfast included in the price. no slipper (requested twice with no success). I needed assistance at the front desk at around midnight and no one came out to assist me after I was standing there for almost 5 mins, then as I walked away a couple came through the front doors to check in and were greeted immediately by an employee who walked out from the back. room was very tiny. Having to ask for clean towels and tea and coffee in the room to be replenished twice.Basics really. on weekends extremely loud from events on the hotel's rooftop (which is generally not open to hotel guests), bathroom worn down. Upon arrival the front desk could not cut a key card as they were having problems with the system. WHERE WAS THE BACKUP SYSTEM???? It was extremely annoying having to wait for someone from the reception to get me into my room each time. It was 54 hours before I received a key!!!!. House keeping very poor , One night no towels and after 8 nights the room had not been vacumned once , i had to ask to have it done . even then the room was not dusted on any occasion .
