Amazing location right in the centre of everything. I would highly recommend the hotel. It's a beautiful building - one of the nicest on the street. There is a nice rear courtyard for guests to use which is quiet and there is a lovely front veranda which guests can use for watching the world go by. My girlfriend and I spent some lovely evenings having a drink (which you are free to bring your own) watching the activities. It's so close to everything - we did a lot of research and this was .
all reviews » Very central - located right on Royal St. Nicely furnished, spacious enough. Free Wifi. Generous storage. Handy little kitchen. Private and quiet (we were at the back of the building). The woman in the office kindly stored our luggage so we could sightsee until we left for the airport. She also ordered us a taxi. The location was perfect for Mardi Gras;bars,music,food and quirky shops. Our room was old style with kitchenette and ensuite shower/toilet. The owners were friendly and helpful and cleaning was superb. Bed was huge and comfortable, we slept well every night!. Amazing location. Royal Street is adjacent to Bourbon Street. Room beautifully decorated and very secure and clean. No breakfast but so many cafes to choose from close by so no problem. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker in room. Beautifully restored hotel. I loved every part of this little boutique hotel! No frills it's New Orleans you just need a place to sleep and shower, the front porch is a great place to people watch and your right in the middle of everything!. My room was very attractive, clean and well insulated from street noise while being in the heart of things. we were late in arriving and they made sure that there was someone to look after us.Much appreciated. Needs extermination n also needs an privacy option.. Like a "DO NOT DISTURB OR PRIVACY" tag on door... Also refreshments in the rooms would help a bunch too!!!. No private balcony, small bathroom and no natural light in my room. The Housekeeping dept is just one person who does not clean well...had to ask for extra cleaning...still no go. Manager is not very friendly and quite elusive. They don't go out of their way for anyone...nothing extra here. Wifi didn't work. Too expensive for what you get. No help with luggage, up steps, down steps, through gate up steps again. All without a porter or bellboy. If the other gate had been open I would have only had one set of steps to lug my luggage up. Also, no help with car. Unload and wear my asthmatic self out, then have to go park my car and walk back to the room. Also only toiletries was two small bars of Dial soap. Charged my account a month before I arrived. la salle de bain. Small bathroom small tv located in wrong place. internet is not good.
