This is a nicely decorated hotel with updated facilities and very comfortable bedding. Well appointed, richly decorated, compact rooms. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The pool and courtyard area is beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast is delicious with many food options from which to choose. Check out time is noon which is a little later than most places - which is nice so you don't have to rush in the morning. The hotel is within walking distance to museum, aquarium, fre.
all reviews » What a gem this place was. So lucky to find such an amazing spot for the money. The rooms are semi luxurious with nice bathrooms, comfy big beds and a big tv. The lobby is nice with computers you can use for free. The bar and pool are are great for a relaxing beer. Staff are nice with particular mention of Ty the barman. His knowledge of local restaurants and entertainment was brilliant and such a good lad as well. Happy to help with bookings or info. Location was spot on. 5 minute walk to bour. The Best Western French Quarter is a really relaxing and cosy hotel. Some of the rooms are directly access to the court yard with the swimming pool. The rooms are extremely confortable and clean. The Staff from the reception to the cleaning ladies are extremely welcoming and nice. The breakfast is really nice and it was included in the room rate. We stayed for 4 days in this hotel and rebooked for the last day after a trip around Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. This is a unique hotel with a quaint atmosphere that is in walking distance of many major attractions. We liked the friendly and competent hospitality of the front desk, especially Tracey and Glenn. They were very helpful in giving directions, organizing and attaining tours of the city, French Quarter, harbor, steamboat, etc. They helped with restaurants, places to see, and places of worship. Walking and Convienience to the entire French Quarter. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the amenities were great. Pool was clean and refreshing. Parking was convienient. The view of the Louis Armstrong Park was lovely to see out our window, and the hotel courtyard was peaceful. The entire staff was so very helpful and polite. Did not register correctly the reservation of 2 rooms of letsbookhotel.com but instead of that they let us stay 2 days for free in one room. So, we appreciated this commercial action. No Complaints! Have a Happy Holiday. I thought the room smelled unpleasant and the door didn't fit plumb to the jam. I think the gap was a good 1/4 inch. I wanted to change rooms but the staff was kind enough to let us check in early and we were only spending enough time in the room to sleep. I did buy some bug spray at a local market to spray around the inside and outside of the door. Didn't like having to pay for parking at the hotel. We weren't told when I booked. The bath was a little difficult to negiotate in the small room. Roof top noise (makes it difficult for a person that has problem to sleep - room 311); late night check-out staff. It would have helped if it had a restaurant for dinner. parking is expensive. The unload of the dumpsters at the hotel at 3 am each day. Small room and high parking fees. Really missed a microwave and am not used to paying to park my vehicle. parking rates, but parking is hard in New orleans. Room was a bit small - but comfortable. Expensive for what it was, housekeeping was not that great.... Breakfast ending at 9:30. Need more time if you have late nights. On last night of hotel stay loud rowdy college students all night long! Parking lot way too small with not enough parking stalls for all guests!. $20 per night parking.
