loved the floor to ceiling windows that opened. Great light onto a quieter street. Fresh air is always nice in a hotel room. Room service was amazing - My father and I shared a standard queen room overnight while visiting nyc to see a concert. I was amazed that the concierge desk is open and available 24-7 - we ended up checking into our room at around 10:45 pm and the staff was still very happy to greet us. Each staff member expressed their wonderful personality and kindness in every interaction, and were 100% accommodating. The decor of common spaces as well as that of our room was chic yet comfortable; we enjoyed the entire experience.

The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.

The room was lovely and had tea/coffee making facilities as well as a micro - I find the Blakely to be centrally located for all activities in Manhattan. The staff is friendly and accomodating. It was an excellent value. Very boutique-y and we loved the truly modern feel. We also had to check out early bc of unforeseen circumstances which required us to leave the city early. They were so helpful! And didn't charge us for the upcoming nights stay! That was a huge plus. We were very grateful!
