What a fabulous hotel. Having stayed in New York several times this has to be my favourite ( and I have paid a damn sight higher prices before!!) The rooms were large, well equipped and stylish.The location was perfect just a ten minute walk from Times Square and the buzz of Central Manhattan and only two blocks from Central Park where we jogged every morning. Location and the lively athmosphere in lobby with great music and flowers in the vases.The down filled pillows made us sleep like rocks. We had 4 pillows in each bed. Great! Our room was very quit (356)-only the fans could be heard, and that made it a boat like feeling with the distant humming.

Local restaurants cater for all tastes and requirements no matter what your budget is. everything, from the hotel staff, to the surroundings and placement of the hotel. everywhere i turned there was someone there to help me with whatever it was i needed help with. splended!!. The elavators can be quite busy at times.The only problem was the long wait for an elevator. not enough time to stay. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. It took some effort to get a missing shampoo bottle replaced, bins were not emptied every day, bath not cleaned properly. When firends staying elsewhere came to collect me, the reception staff could not find me on the register. Friends left confused and worried.Yes, as mentioned above, I didn't like how on Sat and Sun I couldn't buycoffee downstairs like I can during the week. That was veryinconvenient. Also, way too much air freshener in the lobby. I wouldreccomend this hotel but warn about the coffee situation and let myfriends make their own decision based on this. lack of in-room hot drink eg tea-bags. Hotel ran out of towels and room temperature could not be adjusted. personnel not too freindly.First room was small and a bit dingy due to being at the back of building looking overlooking an alley, thus very little natural light. Also, the safe did not work but we were moved to a bigger, brighter room on a higher floor (17) the next day no probs. The only other complaint was we were charged $15 for a phone call even though it was to a toll free number but again quickly removed no probs. only the baggeje room ,it has to be free of charge. air conditioning not very powerful but we were able to open the window so got some air in. I would like beds bigers (size queen at least).Wireless internet priced at $12 +tax per hour. Very expensive. Internet access - baud rate slow and occasionally signal strength very low and wireless access paid for in room did not work in lobby. ************ At the cost of rooms there should be some free luggage check facility for at least a few hours around check in/out times for guests.the price at the time of my booking was a bit too much but the facilities were ok and the rooms were quite neat. The elevators were a little small for the volume of traffic. On arrival you swiped my credit card for security resons although i told the receptionist i would be paying cash on departure sadly you did not explain that the total amount for my stay would be held pending in my account until 10 days after my departure , therefore i have encured bank charges of 200 dollars.I think its only right that this is explain to the customer and it wasn't. the pillows on the bed were terrible. Price. watch out for your phone bill if you use the hotel telephone, charges are extortionate and the rates should be displayed clearly in the room by the phone. Also found the lifts a little dodgy but there were notices up saying the lifts were being worked on.No, I like my stay at the hotel and I will appreciate in an eventual next coming, to receive a special discount of room rates at my check in as a frequent client.
