Excellent in every way, particularly in the area of customer service. The manager (Chris O'Sullivan) went above and beyond to make sure my mother and her friend had a fantastic time - as I (daughter) was unable to go last minute. This included an introduction to the owner of Fitzpatricks' hotels - John Fitzpatrick, a complimentary bottle of champagne and continuous checking-in to make sure all was going well. all reviews » After arriving by car and experiencing a not too helpful doorman, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. I had not complained about schlepping my bags from my car by myself, but someone must have noticed. The rooms were huge by NYC standards, especially nice since I was visiting my son and his fiancé and we got to spend some time relaxing in the hotel. On our last morning toilet overflowed and flooded bathroom and we had to put towels on floor so that we could shower etc. While at breakfast the bathroom was cleaned and dried but the management were quite casual about our difficulty. This is the SECOND TIME I have had this experience of toilet overflowingwhile staying at Fitzpatricks. No place to hang towels in the bathroom. 17.5 gratuity added on which was completely outside my control. I ha no idea if staff received it or not. This was the only place in N.Y. where I encountered this practise. The view from the room on a wall!. Room was a little less than expected. We were unlucky enough to stay when the hotel had an issue with both the wi-fi and air-conditioning in the bedroom. Nothing. We had reserved a deluxe double room. The room was ok with a queen size bed, but the bathroom was very small. The room was prepared for one person, and the size had been ok for one. There was no fridge or minibar even it was a deluxe room. Wireless internet didn't work in my room. plugs not working door diff to close.
