Service was first class - staff all welcoming & friendly & could not do enough to help - superb. Comfortable & large rooms with balcony facing the mosque. Beach facilities - always enough sunbeds plus unlimited iced water, cold towels & even sunglasses cleaned. The whole ambiance of the hotel - scrupulously clean & beautiful. all reviews » We stayed in the Horizon Club and were absolutely thrilled with all aspects of the hotel. The staff was very attentive and genuinely cared about our experience. The sight of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was breathtaking. I can only hope that construction will not block it in the future. Thank you to Cherry, Ramen and the management of the hotel for a beautiful experience!. Perfect hotel! Check-in was fast and we were guided to our room by a helpful and knowledgable member of staff. The room was perfect. Traditional arabian, yet modern and spacious. Bathroom was great. Had a lovely balcony with a view over the creek and of the Grand Mosque. Pool and beach were fabulous. Love Bord Eau restaurant!. This is by far one of the best properties in Abu Dhabi. The staff is exceptionally trainned and they uphold at this specific Shangri-La a superior level of training, courtesy and attention to client. Close to the airport with no noise and close to Yas Island. Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Staff were incredible, the service faultless, always going out of their way. Upgrading to the Horizon Club is recommended. Food excellent. Very little to criticise! Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The service at the Shangri la is excellent, the staff are all very kind and are always eager to make your experience better. Rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. Facilities are great, love the infinity pool. The reception was very warm even if it was busy. Our stay was very pleasant and the Club room has huge tub and balcony. Plus factor was the souq, which gives us the option to dine out and go partying until 3am. The service was of an extremely high standard. The rooms were serviced twice a day and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in my life. The staff were very helpful, always available and courteous. The staff & service were excellent, couldn't fault the team particularly in the Horizon Club and the upgrade option was definitely good value for money. The breakfast buffet was delicious!. A number of pools set up to accommodate guests. Nothing - all first class!!. This hotel is outside the city center. So you have to always travel a few kilometers to get to the city. There is a lot of noise from jet skiers on the sea on Fridays... like there is a Jet Sky Convention. Locals on Jet skis in the sea - very noisy but hotel cannot do anything about it apparently. The smell of the room was not ok , it was smelling of wet carpet but after using some perfumes it was ok. Leaving. Noise from Jet Skis. Only recommendation is to quicken the service at the pool bar as it took over 15 mins to bring our beverages. Also, the beach didn't really feel like a beach as it was quite small and the area for swimming in the sea was small too. I loved it !. Although I would still describe this hotel as a luxury establishment, I think some of the public areas and rooms could do with a refresh/update i.e. the corridors were a little musty. We didn't like leaving!!. Having to leave the hotel after 4 really good days' stay!. The only thing that my wife and I had trouble with was the bed, we both seemed to wake up each morning with a stiff back. Beside that the room was excellent. Absolutely None!!. Check in and check out took long time and the staff appear to be new in there job!!. The service charge and tourism charge was added to everything in the hotel. To be honest they should just charge this once and not on every purchase its a bit frustrating. Far away from city center. however in the large rooms( and yes very spacious rooms) the tv is very small in relative terms,. There was nothing not to like about the hotel. At time the pool was busy with noise young children (sorry) and late afternoon the noise from the Jet skies was excessive, this however was not a reflection on the hotel. Both rooms not ready at check-in time of 2pm (we had to wait till pm for the second room to be ready; however, we did receive a discount on our bill as a result). Abu Dhabi is not really my ideal holiday destination, but I have no qualms about the hotel. Lounge dress code for breakfast, people should be allowed to be relaxed for their breakfast. They asked us to leave and change but not the other two couples that walked in after us wearing similar outfits. none. Prices. jet skis off beach were a continual annoyance even after dark.not hotels fault but authorities in Abu Dhabi need some regulations on this. The room was not very impressive. I stayed in a deluxe room last year and preferred my stay then better. This time I felt the furniture was old - even the bed wasn't as comfortable as I remember and the hair dryer was not working properly. لا يوجد. Nothing really to dislike. Room service menu is very pricy. Is not kids friendly and no activities for kids to do. The room I made the reservation for was ocean view while we got garden view. horizen club upgrade wasnt as good as some upgrades in other club hotels. the drinks between 6 and 8 that are free was very slow service and sat 20mins without a drink and had to get up and ask for our drinks in the end. we paid extra for this service but wouldnt again. Nothing. N/A. Tha ladies spa was a real dissappointment. The jacuzzi was broken and no steam room although I gather the men's has got one. Pool was a bit too small if the hotel is fully occupied. Nill. The service at the beach was bad I had to ask for a towel three times before i got one !. Noisy jet skis using the waterway opposite the beach. Beach swimming.
