  The staff were very helpful and attentive . Our room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It was nice to have a comfortable place to sit and chat with friends and a lovely garden to sit in too. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay at the hotel. The hotel was in an ideal location to explore the city only 10 minut... what people say » es walk to the centre. - We had a family room that large and comfortable with real beds for all not one double bed a put-you-up of some sort. The restaurant is excellent. Very clean and comfortable all round.

  A beautiful old building with a pretty restaurant. Bedrooms in newerwing so modern and clean. Excellent breakfast - loads of choice. Veryattentive waiting staff. Quick and efficient check in/out despite itbeing busy. Quiet bedroom overlooking fields. Wedding party going on butwe couldn't hear anything.   Great people! They are very attentive to both the B&B and to their guests. This was our first stay at a B&B. I was soo excited to see how clean and neat everything was and our room, The Avalon House B & B was, everything I was hoping for and more. When we couldn't make breakfast on our last day (which was really sad because breakfas... what people say » t was AMAZING), the manager packed us a delicious, nutritious breakfast to go. The personal touches were everything. You can't go wrong with The Ava - Manager went over and above to make us feel welcome - we were in St Albans for the half marathon and he was more than happy to let us use the room again after check out time to shower after the race, which was very much appreciated.
