  A beautiful old building with a pretty restaurant. Bedrooms in newerwing so modern and clean. Excellent breakfast - loads of choice. Veryattentive waiting staff. Quick and efficient check in/out despite itbeing busy. Quiet bedroom overlooking fields. Wedding party going on butwe couldn't hear anything. The location - central to the Abbey, the Saturday market and other places of interest. - Central position to the town centre and railway station, very clean and tidy, breakfast fit for a king!!!!!!!!!!

  Great people! They are very attentive to both the B&B and to their guests. This was our first stay at a B&B. I was soo excited to see how clean and neat everything was and our room, The Avalon House B & B was, everything I was hoping for and more. When we couldn't make breakfast on our last day (which was really sad because breakfas... ce que les gens disent » t was AMAZING), the manager packed us a delicious, nutritious breakfast to go. The personal touches were everything. You can't go wrong with The Ava - Manager went over and above to make us feel welcome - we were in St Albans for the half marathon and he was more than happy to let us use the room again after check out time to shower after the race, which was very much appreciated.
