Helpful staff, smooth running of breakfast facilities. The location - central to the Abbey, the Saturday market and other places of interest. Central position to the town centre and railway station, very clean and tidy, breakfast fit for a king!!!!!!!!!!. Parking was reserved for me as my mother though not entitled to a diabled bage cannot walk very far. Location,ambience,room and facilities.

Conveniently located. i did not like staying there at all, would never go back, was offered a car parking space a long way from the hotel, at least half a mile if not more on open ground in what appeared to be a council estate, whilst there was a barrier across with a code so cars not be removed was in full view of gangs of youths outside the local pubs. would not leave car there. The taxi harrive to take me home very quickly which was great. When I stayed there was lots of noise in corridors in late hours although this was due to inconsiderate guests and not fault of hotel !. The walls were paper thin. Could quite clearly hear people having a conversation in the next room.It was a bit worn and in need of a refurbishment!! I noticed the windows in my room were broke and could not actually be shut fully. Parking appeared to be limited, but not a problem for me on this visit.Parking was some distance from the hotel. No food except breakfast on Sundays. The shower mixer taps difficult to control - but this was a minor inconvenience.The T.V was pretty bad, think rooms need music facilities, room was pretty standard but ok. Could do with new carpets. Parking is poor. Hard pillows.Service at the bar was a little slow due to absence of barstaff at one point at arounf 8pm. Parking is a bit of a pain. Locating the car parks initially was a little diffiucukt but once foundnot a problem. Defective WC seat. Basin Tap loose and drips. In the extremely inclement weather during my two night stay, the walk to and from the remote car park took the edge off our stay with you. We stayed from 7pm on Friday evening until 9.30am Saturday moming (1 night); however, we paid full price for a late check-in. I think it would be good to see lower prices for late check-ins (like they have on the continent.). Rooms are quite small. Ok for a couple of nights. Although i do think good value for money. Not Enough Parking. Limited parking. Distance from car parking on arrival and lack of assistance with luggageon arrival. Faulty plumbing, but we were not charged for use of the room, and staff were very apologetic. The parking was problematic.Car parking. a little dated - could do with a re-fit. sink plug did not work, tissue box falling off wall. We left our key at rececption @ 9.30am - returned at 1pm and the room had not been serviced. Room service knocked @ 2pm - we were chilling so did not want disruption. You should service the rooms when the guests are out.No movies due to system not working. Not told upon checking in- should have been!!!. Breakfast was not served until 8am, and was not advised of this when checking in. The room was in a very noisy position, we were woken up by outside noise quite a lot. Breakfast - Quality of cooked food was very poor.The lack of parking except soem distance away and the assocated difficulties, especially when arriving after dark and tired. For this reason (alone) I would not recommend the hotel - otehrwise I would. the off site parking. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable. Directions to the car park would have been useful - but the parking space was appreciated. The breakfast was good but would have been better with warm plates. yes, no snacks/food at the bar, this has happened on both occasions despite suggesting to management. Can be difficult to find way around hotel. phone rang every 5 mins at 3am for an hour for no reason, recepetion unable to resolve this.Room was freezing on arrival. Tiny duvets on beds. Astonishment of staffwhen we asked for more blankets and pillows. the room smelt, the radiator fell off the wall on to my foot, the net curtains were dingy and covered with what looked like cigerette burn holes, could not get anything to eat or drink delivered to room after 9.45 pm, not enough towels in the bathroom, fridge was locked also appeared empty - was looking for bottle of water. Rude staff, horrid room, smelly and not worth more than 30 pounds pernight.
