  I liked everything, they were very welcoming and as I was travelling alone I felt very relaxed there. The room was large and comfy and the dining room was most welcoming. I only had breakfast at the hotel but this was very nice. - Very friendly and service was excellent. All the facilities were excellent and the hotel was in a good location.

  I have just returned from a 5 night stay in this stunning building and can, hand on heart, say I will be back as soon as I can. I was in Phoebe room, set out as a twin room, staying with my mum. The room was beyond comfortable and I slept like a baby. High quality bed linens & furnishings; - I stayed here in March as I wanted to stay in this historic property. Wow what a great decision that was, the whole house is fabulous, full of character, spotlessly clean, stylish and beautifully appointed. Greeted wonderfully by the owners, a Devon home made cream tea on arrival in their beautiful sitting room in big leather chairs.   The hosts, Mick and Hazel , have developed an excellent Guest House in Paignton.. I received a very warm and friendly welcome when I arrived. The accommodation was well equipped and perfectly maintained, with a comfortable bed, tea / coffee available in the room as well as a large amount of storage space for clothes etc. A good shower / bathroom... what people say » with soaps, shampoos ... and proper towels! Breakfast had plenty of choice, was well prepared and served very quickly and efficiently. The idea of - Clean comfortable relaxing friendly excellent location in relation to amenities run by a lovely helpfull couple who could not do enough for you, breakfast was excellent. facilities were excellent sun lounge where you could watch the cricket match on the field next door. would recommend this place to everyone,Mike and Hazel madke you feel like one of their friends

  Every single thing was spot on, beautifully clean, the room, decor, the staff, even breakfast. Nice and close to the sea front, town centre and the unmissable Kent caverns.   Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious. Stylish decor, well maintained, spacious room. I had a fantastic nights sleep. And how better to eat your breakfast with a friendly conversation with the owner. A lot of ... what people say » service for your money. 110%. - The Briarfields was extremely clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The owners were friendly and welcoming and made you feel very at ease. There was also a vast selection for breakfast cooked to perfection and the hosts were very accommodating with special requests. Both my husband and I would definitely recommend Briarfields if you are planning a stay in Torquay.
