  Despite poor weather that put paid to our weekend golfing break, we still had a great time in Torquay. Janet and Andrew both made us feel extremely welcome and couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable, the air was - I normally do not write reviews but after staying at Fernside I was determined to write one. It was the best B&B we ever stayed in. It was ever so clean, recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable, the highest quality as if the hosts bought it for themselves. Linda and Ian were the perfect hosts, very thoughtful. Bathrooms are fitted to a very high standard and stocked with decent quantities of quality products.   As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Paul and he helped me and my partner with our bags and offered us drinks. When I went outside to the garden to get my tea there was yummy banana cake and biscuits for us too! Just what you need after a long drive!  The room we stayed in was cosy, comfy and spacious and had a luxury bathroom which was small... what people say » but you’re not in there for long so we did not care. It had everything we needed. The B&B also has a lovely quite garden area where my partner co - Fair winds is a fantastic place to stay, Paul and Gill are friendly, easily approachable hosts, on arrival we were greeted with coffee and biscuits and they both had time to spend with us chatting, the guest house is spotlessly clean and has a fantastic breakfast choice and we were very spoilt for choice. Its dealy situated for exploring the towns/ villages around torbay, I would deffinatly recommend fair winds to friends/family.

  The hotel owners are a wonderful couple who can't do enough to help - thanks to the weather and the cancellation of the Oldenburg we were able to enjoy a second night of their warm hospitality and amazing breakfast! - Staff were very friendly. The rooms were very nice.

  Never before we have met such a wonderful couple, who are so dedicated to make their guest house the most wonderful place in Devon as Alistair and Emma. They really made us feel so welcome and therefore we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our stay. An exellent place on a perfect location for a very good price.   We were in paignton for a wedding, and liked the fact that we had a key to the front door and were able to come and go as we pleased, the staff where very helpful in offering more facilities ie curling tongs and hairspray etc breakfast was very pleasnt and lots of menu choice, we also liked the fact that we picked our breakfast before hand. the br... what people say » eakfast area was clean and tidy and you couldnt smell the cooking, (very off putting at some places we have stayed) - Beecroft Lodge is excellently situated if you want to explore Torbay. It is in a quiet street and is scrupulously clean and very comfortable. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with free range scrambled eggs, very good smoked salmon, fresh fruit and home-made marmalade. A real find.
