  Despite poor weather that put paid to our weekend golfing break, we still had a great time in Torquay. Janet and Andrew both made us feel extremely welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend anyone staying in Torquay to look them up. - the owners were very hospitable and friendly.   We stayed for one night and got engaged here! It was so romantic and perfect and incredibly cute that it just felt right. This B&B will always have a special place in our hearts and we will undoubtedly be coming back. The bed was really comfortable, the air was - I normally do not write reviews but after staying at Fernside I was determined to write one. It was the best B&B we ever stayed in. It was ever so clean, recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable, the highest quality as if the hosts bought it for themselves. Linda and Ian were the perfect hosts, very thoughtful.   Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious.   It was an ideal overnight B&B to give us a pleasant break on a long trip. We tried to book to stay on the way back but there were no vacancies - which was hardly a surprise as the visitor's book was full of nothing but praise.   Annette and Ian couldn't do enough for us, the attention to detail in the room was impeccable. We had everything we could possibly want from advise on to where to go, down to the daily chocolate left on our pillows! The whole Hotel was spotless! We couldn't have asked for more. Annette and Ian were perfect hosts who we very much hope to meet ag... what people say » ain. - It was a perfect stay. The hotel owners are doing a perfect job. It was a pleasant stay, starting with a warm welcome, a lot of useful ideas for activities, very clean rooms, famous garden, to stay for a drink; just perfect. If we come again to Torquay we will stay there for sure. We can only recommend this hotel.
