  Jo and Will were very accommodating and couldn't have been morewelcoming. We were greeted and brought a tray of tea and cake, our roomwas very well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked freshlyevery morning and there was a good choice on the menu. They were really helpful and suggested some interesting places to visit. It was really nice to spend time there. Hotel is very comfortable and clean. I hope we can come back there and I will recommend this place to my friends.

  I have just returned from a 5 night stay in this stunning building and can, hand on heart, say I will be back as soon as I can. I was in Phoebe room, set out as a twin room, staying with my mum. The room was beyond comfortable and I slept like a baby. High quality bed linens & furnishings; - I stayed here in March as I wanted to stay in this historic property. Wow what a great decision that was, the whole house is fabulous, full of character, spotlessly clean, stylish and beautifully appointed. Greeted wonderfully by the owners, a Devon home made cream tea on arrival in their beautiful sitting room in big leather chairs.   Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious.   It was an ideal overnight B&B to give us a pleasant break on a long trip. We tried to book to stay on the way back but there were no vacancies - which was hardly a surprise as the visitor's book was full of nothing but praise.   Annette and Ian couldn't do enough for us, the attention to detail in the room was impeccable. We had everything we could possibly want from advise on to where to go, down to the daily chocolate left on our pillows! The whole Hotel was spotless! We couldn't have asked for more. It was a pleasant stay, starting with a warm welcome, a lot of useful ideas for activities, very clean rooms, famous garden, to stay for a drink; just perfect.   The owners were very pleasant, and were always at hand to cater for all our needs, the place was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The place is surrounded by beautiful green scenery and is 10 mins drive from Woolacombe beach, and also 10 mins drive from Ilfracombe town. - Derek and Chris make staying at High Ways House an absolute plea... what people say » sure. They are friendly and extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The accomodation is exceptional and the breakfast superb. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a first rate b & b.
