  From the moment my girlfriend and i arrived to the moment we left , we were treated to a first class service , the staff were friendly and helpfull , the rooms were beautifuly presented and clean . The hotel was faultless in every way , we are certainly going to go back . We can also highly recommend the restaurant .   We liked everything! The suites are perfect, with lovely appointments. The owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly. It's very very clean. It's close to everything at Waterhead and only a mile from Ambleside, with good bus service to everywhere in the Lake District. The shower was neat because you could program it to the exact temperature and pressure you wanted it. The provided coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate were _sublime_.
