    Great location within walking distance of both Windemere and Bowness. Helen, Phillippa and Trevor all pleasant and helpful. They even took us through the kitchen at breakfast time to see the Deer in the woods at the rear of the property. Able to use spa/gym facilities at nearby hotel. All in all excellent place to stay. - the hostress, Phillipa (hope I didn't wrongly spell her name) was very kind. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

    This lovely little guest house is by far one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the friendly and helpful staff to the quality of the furnishings and even the detail of the furnishings, right down to the location. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. Definitely a - My wife and I stayed a few nights at The Ashberry Guest House. it is ideally located for both Penrith town centre and the North Lakes, northern M6 area. The owners are very helpful but not overbearing. The guest house itself is very modern, clean and comfortable. And the full English breakfast was very nice. Overall a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend it.

    Absolutely lovely couple, really friendly, really easy to chat to, and not at all intrusive. Really lovely house, breakfasts were fantastic, and the views/location are utterly superb.
