This was absolutely unexpectedly amazing. Despite initial appearances this room was beautiful! Nice modern decoration very stylish and very very comfy and warm feeling. I went with my partner for a nice weekend break since she was born here and wanted to visit again, we were looking for a nice hotel that wasnt too expensive. The apartments are spacious, very clean and the lay out lovely. The beds are amazing!! Bedrooms have everything you need, (including decent hairdryers!) and the bathroom was lush! We had my partners 6 year old daughter with us and she LOVED it here! We will stay again for certain. Thank you Jan :). As a family with young and older children this suited our needs perfectly. Nice decor. location was ok. One thing was we booked out on a sunday, the hotel doesnt really have a reception so we werent really sure where to leave the key. A quick call to the manager resolved it and I left lancaster with a feeling wishing I owned an apartment just like that!. Taps in kitchen plumbed the wrong way i.e red dot - cold and blue dot- hot Shower in apartment with kitchen performed poorly. Lacked power and heat. There was nothing we didn't like excellent. there was nothing that we felt negative about. Nothing. Nothing major. If I was to say what i didnt like would be the noise after midnight from passing people. My husband found the bed uncomfortable, and was also disturbed frequently in the night by people passing on the street. Shower was impossible to set and hot water pipe whistled constantly. A lot of night foot traffic - aka drunk kids - outside the window. Leaking sink in bathroom, dodgy broken hinge on window in bedroom but number one dislike the heating was on 24/7 with no controls to turn it off. Also no internet connection. Unable to control central heating, way too hot. Noise from street. Car parking. although Parksafe is only a short walk and not too expensive. It's like a treasure, difficult to find, but once you have found it it's rewarding. no reception. Fridge did not really work. Noise until 1am and from 7am outside the door (I was on ground floor), noise was more obvious from within the building than outside. Also, someone went to open the door of my room (with key) at 10am, an hour before check out. I was not decent and shouted out and they didn't come in but it was unnerving all the same!. noise from outside from neighbouring bar or something which played music into the early hours Kettle in room did not work. A bit noisy outside window during late weekend night. Curtain rail was broken, almost fell down. It's cold in the night, better to have heating or air con. Room poorly located and small. Noise. The room on the ground floor and every one entering and leaving building slams door right behind the headboard of the bed. AWFUL!! Developed a massive migraine which ruined the day in Kirkby Lonsdale I came up for. Room was also much too hot and airless and the shower smelt. All contributed to me leaving the place ill. Pity as I hoped for much more. bathroom dirty, floors cracked. No staff available at check in. All doors were locked. Nobody answered the phone number given. The hotel later apologised but by this point I had found alternative accommodation.
