the hotel was within walking distance to town and a five minute drive away from the university where we visit our daughter,it was the first time we had stayed at the hotel but it most definately will not be the last!. Friendly and attentive staff; beautiful, well equipped and comfortableroom; excellent value for 4 star hotel; fantastic food and atmosphere. The room was lovely, very modern and well decorated. Unfortunately to heat the room you needed to put the key card in the socket. This meant the room was really really uncomfortably cold when we got there and it took about half an hour to warm up a little. Maybe somehow the hotel could warm the room slightly prior to guests arriving. None. Expensive breakfast. The bathroom furniture was absolutely crass, modern useless trash.!!
obviously chosen by some university dickhead. You cannot redesign something that was made to do the job. noise at frount of hotel at night from bar across road though this is nothing to do with hotel just circumstances of position of hotel and bar. two breakfasts. One continental, serve yourself with juice, toast, cereal, etc. Other ordered hot breakfast. But if wanted just a glass of juice with hot breakfast, had to pay full price for continental...no a la carte items for breakfast like toast or juice to accompany hot breakfast, so made me feel like ripped off. Music controlled somewhere besides hotel, at night could only hear the bass beat. Hotel has limited parking, trying to rectify it. The closing of the kitchen in the eveining before the meal was finished, thus leaving no option for dessert/cheese.No regular services such as room service. PSB is a pub that rents rooms and not a traditional hotel. Hotel stopped serving breakfast at 10pm on a Sunday Morning.lack of parking. POsition (on busy road). the staff need training on how to conduct themselfs around guests. limited car parking. Insufficient parking for size of hotel (only 2 spaces with 1 drop off and 1 disabled). Confused breakfast prices. Inadequate free parking, there are currently only 4 or 5 spaces around the back of the Hotel.Poor parking facilities. Bar was noisy - rooms were not sound proof. Very little parking (about three spaces out back).Arrived at 6.30pm to a clean and well furnished but very cold room. Only heating in the roon was an air conditioning plant with no instructions. After getting the receptionist to look at it it did produce some warm air, but not sufficient to heat the room when it was freezing outside. Only heating in the bathroom was an electric towel rail that was on, but cold when I arrived. noisy music from bar, until late at night and even during breakfast (though the breakfast staff did turn it down when I asked).Restricted parking. no room service but food in bar is good. Parking was a bit of a walk. there is very limited parking, and almost no on road parking close to the hotel.Local carpark rates, especialy over night were misleading.The room was not as clean as I would expect, the bin was ful with thelast occupants take away . The bathroom extractor did not work and hairdryer holding was broken and hairdryer was on the floor. The corridors and bathrooms need extra attention to cleanliness.
