As a regular customer now of Arran Guest house-it has become my number 1 choice of stay-the bargain price and the superb customer service and extra's beat any London budget hotel's by a long shot. I have paid a lot more to stay in a so called higher range hotel and not come close to the standards of Arran. The staff are superb, the beds are crisp clean and comfortable, the hotel is far enough away from the busy high street,ensuring a peaceful night's sleep(which in itself is a luxury in London).
all reviews » As a regular happy customer of the Arran Guesthouse, whenever I need to come to London I always check here for a vacancy first because I always have a positive experience here, more and more I am finding it is fully booked and I am not at all surprised. This has to be one of the best budget hotels in London, very clean,excellent friendly staff,very warm rooms, very quiet location,easy access to public transport,ample free parking,Fridge,ample Tea Coffee, soap, shampoo, towels, comfortable bed a. The staff were great and friendly. Breakfast was basic but hot and cooked well. Parking outside was free and plenty of spaces. Room had plenty of space, was basic and comfortable and was relatively clean. Bathroom was large and all essentials supplied. This was in a great location for London visitors, a short 5 minute walk to the train station and a 10 minute train journey to Stratford. A taxi back from Camden was only £35 so not too expensive if your on a night out. It was only 15 minutes from Liverpool St Station, there were lots of restaurants and bars around to eat and drink in the vicinity. The cooked breakfast in the morning was good with a choice of eggs. The staff were very helpful and obliging seeing as we did not arrive due to traffic getting into London until 10pm, but nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definately stay there again. As a regular visitor to London and the Arran Guest house - I have to say that my stay here has always been excellent, superb friendly helpful staff, very clean accommodation,tv,wi fi,tea coffee with generous portions, and free secure car park- could not ask for more...I Highly recommend this hotel and plan to return again and again. The breakfast was delicious and filling (eggs over easy, sausage, bacon, and beans with optional toast, cereal, orange juice, and coffee). The staff was very nice. The location was about 25 minutes from the city center by railway which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Had low expectations because of price, but were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast a nice bonus and the room, although small, was clean and comfortable. I will use this hotel again. It was much more than I expected. The guy in the reception was very helpful. We have stayed at number 7 and it was great to have our own entrance to the back garden. Definetely will come back again. Would strongly recommend this hotel. Guest house location is less than 5 min. from station, ride to Liverpool street around 15 min., good starting point for city break. Nice English breakfest served in the morning, comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. good staff, very warm and welcoming throughout. room was big and clean enough and facilities such as freeview tv, free wifi and breakfast were all bonuses for the price. great value and would definately stay here again!. The Arran Guest House was excellent value for money. We were pleasantly surprised with the facilities along with a full English breakfast, we actually enjoyed our stay there. It even had complimentary shower gel etc.,. The English breakfast was delicious and filling. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is off main roads so it is quiet at night. Close to rail, shopping center,groceries, restaurants, and bus stops. Room was in excellent condition with heating working very well. Beds were nice and very clean. Toilets though shared were very clean and had everything requried .Wifi was very good with a nice speed. Had yet another fantastic great value stay at my favorite London budget hotel - a great sleep, in a fab room with a fantastic breakfast - at a great value price - what more could anyone want?. It was so close to the tube stations for the DLR line so no need to take our car into the city, easily accessed straight off the M11, keys to the doors so we could come and go as we pleased. Very friendly staff, great location, 3-4 minutes walking from rail station, very lucky hotel cause Olympiacos bc won euroleague title, I would stay again for sure, nice value for money. Good room for 2, with a nice bathroom, enough space, nothing to complain about, close from a station, supermarkets are really close, theres even a shopping mall. Saw a squirrel in the back garden. The bargain prices to stay here recognizing the overheads this business must have-must reduce their profit margin greatly and those who complain are wanting something for nothing. The staff here are superb, the accommodation,is, in my opinion- the best budget accom in London-. The room was a bit dated, and some of the wallpaper was missing. Also our water seemed to be turned off just before we left on Sunday but we never chased it up as we had already showered and were on our way home. There are no negatives whatsoever regarding my visit. Nothing. Overall a most surprising experience!. there's no metro station nearby so if you need to go to the centre - should use train or bus. The map with location was litle bit confusing, we went around on first time. don't expect high quality furnishings and 5-star accomodation because this is budget-friendly but nothing to complain about at all. i'm actually glad it wasn't so good decor etc because that would have cost more and there was no need to spend more when decent places like this are available for such good prices. I reserved two rooms together with our friends. Ours was very small, the bathroom was mouldy. The other room was much more spacious, and more modern. Bathrooms a bit tired but clean Television a bit small. nothing at all. Shower was a bit small but to be expected in a converted residential building. Early check in, early breakfast. The "English breakfast" looks and tastes a little cheap - cold beans probably from tin, a "flour and slurry meat" saussage. Plus a fried egg and a slice of bacon. However, you can fill up then with free cereals, bread, juice, tea and coffee. the door slamming in the morning near our room. No negatives for the price. Need of upgrade desperatley mixed furniture and no proper wardrobe,theres was also a smell of soil/damp inroom had to wash everything when hme,but as the saying goes u get what u pay for. the water was turned off which meant my last morning was showerless. bit too old,. While breakfast was more than sufficient, it's not really a 'full' English. nothing really. could do with a bit of a touch up around room and rear courtyard, which is a great sun trap/chill out area. problem showers don't seem to work. Just fine for the price you pay. no biscults with tea and no drinks.
