What people say
the mattress was very good, I slept better then in the usual business hotels in the city center.
Ilford surely is a poorer part of London, but the people are nice.
Bath room looked quite new and was very clean (I experienced the opposite some days ago in a 5* Hotel für more den 250 pound near the St. Pauls Cathedral).
Good and simple connection to the City (5 Min. walk to the train and then a 18 Min ride to Liverpool Station - eastern side of the City).
Good connection to the London City Airpor. all reviews »
We loved how quiet the area was, and were it was located from the train station, it wasnt on the night street if was off a side road which we preferred, and we found that the roomwasnt overly big but we quite like our comforts being close, the shower was lovely, my boyfriend didnt want to get out of it... we would definately stay again. the woman on reception was helpful and at night when we couldnt work the key for our room a gentleman soon came to help. i would recomend this hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was comfortable, good value for money and in a good location. Had breakfast in room. Valentines Park is just a 2 min walk from hotel and has rides, cafe, swings n slides, exercise area, golf area and a boat rent place. We were there for nearly 3hours. the kids loved it...Would definitely stay there again.
The rooms were vey nice with comfy beds and lovely décor. The price was great, and only a short drive to the O2 and that area of London. would recommend to others who are visiting London, but are happy to say a short distance out.
Great helpful nice staff, clean rooms, great room service. Good wifi signal. Halal shops and restaurants close by. Any request was fullfilled immediately. We were very satisfied with this hotel.
Spotlessly clean rooms, and very friendly staff . easy check in, good links to London city centre, free car parking and free Wi fi.
I liked the fact that there were no issues at all, everything was very simple and the fact that it looks like a normal city house.
Good value. Nicely decorated in a modern style. Open and welcoming
lobby. Room was reasonable size and recently updated.
Free fast Wifi internet from my room and lots of TV channels. The shower was great. Romm was cleaning every day.
Friendly staff coveneiently located to illford station and to the local shops. for the price it was not bad.
Cleanliness, staff were friendly, facilities provided in the room, and generally the stay was very pleasant.
Clean, great value, nice breakfast, lovely shower, good TV, 24 hour check in, free Wi-Fi, free parking.
Clean sheets, air con in room and tv with a decent bed, free wireless and parking, somewhere to sleep.
Rooms were well appointed and the bed was very comfortabe. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Staff, they were very kind all of them. Not very knowledgeable for tourists but very kind.
Very recent update on rooms must have been carried out for the olympics.
Comfortable room with everything which is needed for a short stay.
The service, quick and friendly. The peace and quiet, no noise.
Helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable. Great value.
Rooms are amazing nicely furnished and very cosy.
Good value for money.
The bed and staff.
very modern rooms.
As above.
I like the fact that breakfast was served in your room at an agreed time. The 24 hour free internet service was also wonderful. Friendly and courteous staff. Far away from the center of london but pretty accessible. Very close to the westfield mall in stratford.
Easy to reach and easy to visit friends and relatives around Ilford and East ham area.
Made exemptions on breakfast arrangements for a large family.
Clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Felt reasonably spacious & it looked ok.
all round hotel not too expensive.
The room is clean and tidy.
Friendly staff as I left.
Comfy bed well decorated.
The hotel was clean.
Everything was Good.
- Friendly and helpfull staff
- clean room
- nice bathroom (although poorly equipped for a 4 star hotel)
- nice bed.
it was clean and that's about all it had going for it.
It was nice and clean.
The location is good. good shower.
Very clean.
Room was very small - but that´s the normal in London.
The windows are very thin. At night there entred a very cold air - and the bed is directly behind the window.
Nothing bad to say about the place.
No toothpaste.......
The hotel from the outside does not look great, but is fine when inside. Not a 4 star as there no real amenities outside of your room.
Noisy weekend guests, location in zone 4, but all these are not fault of the hotel staff.
nothing really.
Wifi reception was poor, even after a restart by the receptionist. My
route to my room (23) was not clearly signed.
Room was too small. Sound isolation was poor so I could hear all the other people walking from my bed. The hotel is quite far from tube but there are lots of buses just next to hotel to tube station if you dont want to walk 15 minutes.
that the room we stayed in had a damamged shower was only prducing hot water , but fair play they changed the room.
none.
DON'T stay in Room 5 - no windows, uncomfortably hot. Would have helped if there were instructions on how to operatethe air conditioning. However, asked for a move and was quickly given another room.
The first room they gave us stank. We asked for a change the next day and they did change us. The cleaning girl told us that after a guy stayed there for 3 months they have done everything to take away the smell with little success. Do not stay at room 7!.
No restaurant or other services.
Although we were expecting a continental breakfast what we had was very disappointing. All was prepacked and no choice given.
Nothing, was perfect!.
Nothing.
Just a tiny window, but a very quiet room.
Nothing.
Air con compressors running all night, (not mine, switched off). Badly installed shower screen did not prevent water from flooding floor. Kettle.
Too much noise from surrounding rooms.
The carpet was not fully clean. The kettle was not working properly.
Problems reported to staff were not properly solved or left untreated altogether.
location.
Some of the corridor lights didn't work. There was considerable amount of noise coming from the other bedrooms around me.
location not very good for business or travellers tbh.
Poor sound proof.
Breakfast on a tray.
Some of the staff were not very knowledgeable of the Ilford area.
Value of money.
- very, very, very tiny room
- it had no window, so it was basically a square box with a bed, a tv and a bathroom. I'm not suffering from claustrophobia, but a 'normal' room with windows was not available, which might be very problematic for people that do suffer from it!
- although breakfast was brought into the room, it was very poor with only prepacked sweet stuff. Absolutely not the type of breakfast I want, and what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
leaking shower
wonky bed side table
failed air con
no windows
no kettle
loose toilet seat
phone with no connection
unhelpful staff
booked superior room got given £10 refund as that room wasn't available quite obvious person in room we ended up with kicked off - perhaps we should have done the same oh and we got locked out at 2am even though the receptionist assured us someone was there 24/7.
The classic double room was very tiny. The location also was quite far away from the centre.
Room And bathroom was very small hotel is definetly not 4 star.
Almost everything. Staff could not provide me a key for my room until the next day. The kettle did not work and neither did the replacement. Rooms are not sound proof and the staff at reception were talking loudly until about 2am, which kept me up! The bed was to hard. The room was to warm, no window either. Staff made promises but did not keep them. No breakfast.
No hooks in the bathroom to hold towels and towels
very thin.
Location of the hotel was not made clear to us.
No key for room, out of date milk in room, no wi-fi, located in a no go ghetto, pillows like concrete, after a day plumbing I had to fix toilet in room due to it constantly flushing, I stopped in many a hotel and while cheap for London this was by far the worst.
