A picturesque, peaceful place. Large tasteful bedroom, beautifully furnished. Fabulous bathroom/wet room. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt like we were staying with the owners in their own home rather than paying guests. Breakfast was first class. Can not recommend Sandown House highly enough. -

Dont judge the hotel from the outside which looks tired and dated once inside you are in for a pleasant suprise. The foyer and reception area are bright and modern and the staff pleasant and helpfull. Our rooms were spotless and well equipped. All in all a great hotel and excellent value for money. I had a very enjoyable stay @ the clubhouse hotel. Stayed for 2 nights using it as a base to travel across various towns from Aberdeen to Inverness. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable eating in the bar area. The staff were excellent and could no do enough to make you feel welcome & relaxed in this hotel. I would certainly recommend this to my friends & family.

This place was perfect! The beds were delightfully soft, the pillows
fluffy, the bathroom sunny and roomy. The breakfast was delicious. The
garden was wonderful and the path to the beach couldn't be better.
The staff were excellent as well, the lady there gave us a tip to go to
the Nairn Caeligh the evening we stayed there. We ended up winning a
bottle of sherry and were out danced by 80 year old women. This hotel
was a splurge for us and I wish we could have spent our entire trip
