Lovely friendly service and fantastic food in the fine dining restaurant. It finds the balance between luxury and comfort really nicely. Not too posh, but very polished and welcoming. We were able to unwind and had a very relaxing stay. It was nice to see families in the hotel and we liked the family friendly atmosphere. Wouuld definitely like to return in future. Staff were efficient, polite and friendly. The menu was varied, the food healthy and beautifully presented and the room was spacious. The double bed was also a good size and very comfortable. The surroundings with sea view and flowered gardens were spectacular.

The quality and attitude of the staff, every staff member I spoke to were extremely polite and nothing was to much trouble and they were all British.Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. We were delighted with our room and the views. High class hotel for a reasonable price. We thought smoke, and wondered if it had been a smoking room? Other than that - lovely. Lift was out of order. nope all was nice. The quality of information available (hotel, local amenities, shops, general information / history of the area in general) in the room booklet was extremely poor. Travelling in the lift was slightly slow.Wifi Internet access was not working. This did not seem to be given the priority attention it deserved. drink at bar could be cheaper. Quite pricey for what it is. I would have expected bottled water in the room in this price range. There was a very noisy wedding on Friday evening which kept us awake but that isn't the fault of the hotel. Swimming pool out of order on Friday. The hotel was incredibly hot. That is my reason for highlighting 'poor' for comfort above. It was really intolarable and I ended becoming ill which resulted in me having to be off work for 3 days after we returned. This was not a good situation to be in as I am self employed and so lost 3 days wages. This was disappointing as otherwise we were very impressed with the hotel. Some staff weren't overly helpful or attentive.Lack of bath robes in view of passing, briefly I know, through public areas to reach the pool etc. Strange that in a twin room only one set of toiletries (shower cap etc) was available. Request was made at reception for another but nothing materialised. beds were way too soft. our view was facing scaffolding. overpriced food and drinks. TV reception was awful. On check-in given keys to another guests room(luckily they were out) and further problems stemming from that such as the bill etc.Cooked breakfast was both hot and cold, general areas such as corridors were somewhat bashed and in need of attention.The bed - been around a little too long and not the best of quality. Poor organisation of providing tables for breakfast at busy time.

Since Victorian times, The Golf View Hotel & Spa has been established as one of the leading hotels in the Highlands of Scotland. Now with daily flights from 3 major London airports as well as Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, it is easily accessible for national and international clientele. With the emphasis on personal attention, the experienced team at The Golf View offer extensive function facilities, whether you are arranging a small private dinner, training seminar, conference, corporate golf day or christening party. We offer a variety of team building events, both on and off site, and a host of incentive opportunities locally, such as evening charters on Loch Ness aboard the Jacobite Queen, or a corporate day at Rothiemurchus Estate with sunset cocktails at the top of Cairngorm Mountain. The Golf View has 2 outdoor tennis courts with rackets and balls available to hire. The hotel is adjacent to Nairn Golf Club, host of the 1999 Walker cup. There are 20 courses within an hour's drive, and Nairn has an adventure play park with crazy golf etc a short walk away. In the leisure club, the gym offers a variety of fitness equipment including treadmills, weights, rowing, cycling and step machines. Swim a few brisk lengths or taking a leisurely dip in the 14 metre pool. Relax further in the steam room, sauna or spa bath.
