It was convenient for the major attractions of Sultanhamet. The staff were friendly and the facilities were fine. Great views of Hagia Sophia from the roof terrace. The breakfasts were excellent but the dinner menu was a bit dull so we only ate there once ; house wine not cheap either.The hamam was very good and was a great way to end a day of shopping. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Location, location, location. Breakfast: both good food and views from breakfast terrace, helpful staff, dinner entertainment (only Saturdays).Location was great.Location,. The authentic, classy, agreeably not-all-too-modern "cushiony" interior, the location is first rate and the roof terrace for breakfast is great. Staff were very friendly, especially the Olive cafe staff. Food at the cafe was ecellent and good value for money. The view is gorgeous. location and ease of travel to tourist sites. Good location ... for tourism in Istanbul.First night we were placed in another 4* hotel nearby "due to noise from some maintenance works", however this inconvenience was compensated by our room upgrade for remaining nights. I think in these times it is silly not to offer free internet; one had to put coins in a machine to operate the internet facilities in the lobby (and first procure the coins) This should very definitely be changed, I think. Air con wasn't working in a suite we used and was noisy in another room. Rooms on the street side are noisy because of the cobbled and quite busy road at night.air conditioning unit very noisy and next to useless. You have to pay for the use of everything; Internet, Hammam, Sauna, etc. which is free in other hotels.Realtion between guests and staff. Old furniture and carpets. Cleanless...1) Istanbul map , yellow pages , information about local transport ( not to have to use Taxis all the time !) , telephone dialing instructions , 2 glasses for drinking water ... are missing.
