We think this is the best boutique hotel in Istanbul. The reception staff are all so helpful , Nothing was too much trouble. We needed a tape measure, a bag weigher and some photocopying done for work and all was provided quickly and happily.The breakfast was great with again lovely friendly helpful staff.The room was spotless and the mattress great. This is our second stay here and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Loved the afternoon tea provided. It was perfect after an exhausting day out to c.

Hotel Sultania was an excellent choice for a solo traveler. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was helpful and wanted to make my trip memorable. Staff assisted with details of the city, from best places to eat and best store to purchase a kilim to local hazards to avoid. The room was wonderful and decorated in Ottoman style. It was clean with large windows and much light. My room overlooked a cafe, but was quiet by 10 P.M. The breakfast was delicious with fresh squeezed orange juice, Turkish c. The staff were service oriented. They provide all the help they could offer. Just ask and get detailed answers. They really care about their guests. The restaurant is clean and delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to use the swimming pole so I can't judge it. Overall: Great service, Great place, Very nice people; service oriented staff. One more thing: everybody talks English. So, no fear of misunderstanding. The Staff at Hotel Sultainia were more then accomodating. We stayed there for 8 nights for our honeymoon, and they surprised us with flowers and chocolates in our room setup upon our arrival. The staff were always smiling and helpful. Even upon our departure, they gifted us with bath robs and towels. Truly a world class hotel. Great location for exploring most of the top sights in Istanbul only minutes away, including Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Spice Bazaar. Fantastic range of restaurants within walking distance. Amazing No any word could describe the pleasure that we have during our stay in this hotel From every thing Starting from the location ending by check out I checked out going to Sheraton in other city and really I found sultania is more superior than it. The staff did handstands to make my stay perfect. They helped with business needs I had, as well as walking me 2-3 blocks to show me where to find an ATM and how to start a sightseeing walk. This hotel has several plus. It is located directly in old Istanbul quarter Sultanahmet, its staff is very kind and helpful, the breakfast is excellent. The elevator is very samll. A little pricey but the location was excellent. Upstairs balcony room was very noisy due to busy restaurant in the lane way . Nothing. One minor thing is that I had requested a big bed but ended up in a room with two small single beds next to each other. The staff were very nice, apologized and said a new room can be available for the next day. But I did not end up changing my room because it would have been too much of a hassle to pack then unpack. Absolutely nothing!. Not much i can say that is negatve about the hotel. Gym area is very small. On our last day we left very early in the morning because of flight and asked for some breakfast to take with and what we got was rather poor (compared to excellent choice during regular time, would it be so big problem to prepare some sandwich?). Moreover, the hotel says you can borrow DVD to watch in your room, we chose one and it was available only in turkish (despite its cover, not even with English subtitles, pirate copy?). In our deluxe room the rainfall shower did not work and the handle had come away from the faucet. We reported these problems to reception on the next morning after our arrival, they were not fixed during our stay at the hotel. These issues did not spoil our stay but it would have been better if they had been fixed!. Noisy area around hotel, as it overlooks a busy street with restaurants and bars. The twin rooms had single beds. Know that's normally the case but its nice when they're a bit bigger!. Coffee at breakfast is terrible and we were woken up by very loud housekeeprs slamming doors in the neighbouring rooms. Had a bad experience in the hotel spa where despite clear instructions about behaviour in the pool, a guests child was behaving badly by diving in and creating havoc. When I spoke to the spa attendant and asked her to speak to the parents she was reluctant to do so suggesting it was out of her control. Staff need to behave more assertively. . nothing. Shower facilities in room was impractical and not very safe. Lack of hooks in room for hanging outer clothes. Centralised air conditioning/heating system did not work. It should be possible to adjust room temprature according to preference.
