I booked 2 rooms, 1 standard and 1 superior. They were exactly as shown at the photos. Standard was smaller and had view at the narrow backstreet while superior was bigger, had tea facilities but most important had a splendid view (Top Kapi, Aya Sofia, Galata bridge). what people sayKadikoy the rooms all excellent soundproof and there was no noise. I suggest that someone should pay the extra money for the superior room. It really - Hettie is an absolutely wonderful place, my room was bueautiful, overlooking the Bosphorus. The breakfast is generous and tasty. The location is most convenient - within walking distance to most sites. And the staff is worth special mentioning - speaking very good English and exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Hotel was also very quiet, which was amazing in a place like Istanbul. It wasn't a perfect place to stay for a family - but the location, friendliness and cleanliness couldn't be faulted. Was just a short walk to the Karakoy tram stop, from which you could go straight to all the sights of Sultanahmet. Was also close to the Bosphorus ferries, and near the funicular stop from wher you could go up to Istikla
