  Although the Confortel Barcelona is not in the city center, it is well located. It is 5 minutes walk to the subway, which is only 3 to 5 stations to the city center depending where you want to go.   The hotel was very comtempary! Loved it! Location was a little far away from anywhere but excellent metro service. Staff were brilliant with us, when we arrived there was a problem with one of the floors "technical problems" but they sent us to the Hilton Hotel instead - no extra cost! The last night was at the Silken Hotel and they gave us a up... what people say » graded room for the problems. Can't fault them! - Location to the Metro was nice and easy to find with a landmark (egg building) right next it. Room was very spacious, room for luggage too! The front desk folks were extremely nice and spoke many languages. All in all, we would definitely stay there again.

  As we stayed for 3 nights we got upgraded to Junior Suite. They also had a breakfast offer of just 10euro each for contintental/cooked breakfast. Very good value. LIDL was but a 10 minute walk away, and the beach about 20 mins - The hotel was excellent. It was very modern and tastefully decorated. I would definately stay here again
