  The Catalonia Avinyo's staff called us a day ahead, informing that Catalonia Avinyo was fully booked so we were changed to another hotel in the same network called "Catalonia Port" and I really recommend this hotel!! Very new, very clean, very comfortable!! and it's near the port and Columbus Monument. That's mean you can start walking from the beg... what people say » inning of La Rambla!! and it's near the metro.. - What a gem! Catalonia Avinyo is a great place to stay while in Barcelona. The modern decor make it very comfortable and chic. Also, it has an excellent location. Very near everything. If you are a first time tourist or a frequent visitor you will be satisfied with this hotel. An added bonus is the restaurante across from the hotel El Gran, it is wonderful!

  The location was fantastic. The rooms were very clean and spacious. - Even though I was warned of possible rennovation disturbance I heard/saw nothing! But then again you don't really expect to when you're only using the hotel as a place to rest your head after spending all day exploring the city.   It was right in the middle of the city and herself was delighted as it was on one of the main streets with all the famous Spanish retailers.   The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, something we have found lacking in our stay at various hotels abroad. The room was very clean and comfortable and there were lots of little touches to make us feel welcome. The location was also very good, a few minutes walk from La Ramblas, but not close enough to be bothered by the noise. The facilities were fantastic, my son and I had a swim and the room had all those little extras that you might have forgotten. The best thing about this hotel though was the staff. We recieved a lovely welcome, they were fluent in a number of languages so our English was no problem. They were fabulous.

  Everything. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast had a wide variety of fresh food. The staff were very helpful in giving information about the city. we used the spa and sauna which was very nice. - The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, they recommended a place to eat nearby and we found it to be excellent.

Pass is good for the day. - This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and Las Rambles. We upgraded to a superior room and it had a huge bed with enough space and also a balcony / patio, we also got spa access included for upgrading. The staff were very helpful and you can help yourself to coffees and pastries in the afternoon free of charge which is a nice little extra. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again as it was great.

  We stayed at the hotel on the last weekend of our honeymoon, I had mentioned it was our honeymoon on the reservation but not upon arrival. They had a Cava (bottle of Catalonia's sparkling wine) with chocolate covered strawberries in our room waiting for us. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, wherever required. The rooms are well appointed, extremely comfortable and clean.
