Modernity. When you enter your room, you activate all electrical functions and settings by lodging your smart card assigned you, into a socket inside the door. Breakfast was nice. Good selection at a reasonable price. Multilingual staff. First thing in Barcelona: Take one of the Double Decker buses around the city for an overview. You can get off and on at will as they stop every few minutes to discharge and pickup new passengers. Pass is good for the day.
all reviews » This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and Las Rambles. We upgraded to a superior room and it had a huge bed with enough space and also a balcony / patio, we also got spa access included for upgrading. The staff were very helpful and you can help yourself to coffees and pastries in the afternoon free of charge which is a nice little extra. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again as it was great. We stayed at a terrace suit on the 6th floor, that kind of room strongly recommended. We didn't take the breakfast option, luckily just outside the hotel there is a bakery, opens at 7:00 am very nice, cheap and delicious. Perfect location, very near to metro and walking distance to La Rambla. Garage under the hotel if you rent a car. Good working WiFi. Very clean rooms. New hotel. This was our second visit to this hotel. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and were allocated two rooms next to each other as requested. The hotel is located within a residential area and is approx 5 mins from the metro and three stops away from Placa de Catalunya. Our rooms were clean Aswan the whole hotel. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed for weekend break for 1st birthday of our little girl. And it was great! Perfect location, really clean, modern and design hotel. Reception staff really helpfull specially young girl with curly hair and night reception staff( man with glasses) super super nice!!! - sorry I do not remember names:). We liked the hotel very much, the staff were lovely,polite,kind and did everything to make our stay as nice and relaxing as possible,especially Fran who also helped us to the taxi with our suitcases which was greatly appreciated. Location was excellent close to Las Ramblas and harbour. We had a suite in the last floor. It was large, confortable and clean. The spa is small but OK for relaxing after a long walk in the city. As the breakfast is expensive, we did not take it, but we had the possibility to order coffee, croissant, juice, etc... very cheap (less than 5€). The staff is very riendly, all know english language, are ready to help, WI-FI free, high speed, very good location - not far from aeroport, sea is near, La Rambla - 3 minutes, quite place, very stylish, good room, very clean, modern - very very pleasant impression, enough breakfast. Location excelent for harbour and Ramblas and close to metro station made it easy to get anywhere. At foot of Montjuic for easy walk or use the funicular to get up high. Local bars and hotel bar good for food and drinks.Hotel car park good long term rates when cruising. One day before my arrival, I'd to cancel a room: although policy first said I'd to pay a fine of one night, the hotel staff promised me they wouldn't charge me. Especially when a friend came by surprise and the room was necessary after all... Very kind service!. The staff was amazing and really tried to cater to our needs. It was very nice and artfully decorated, high tech and I believe green in nature. The location was good. Close to port, La Rambla and an easy cab ride to the airport. Would defiantly recommend it. Close to the the metro (line 3) which has all the main stations on. my second visit, rooms with terrace are awesome, slightly dodgy neibourhood, but walking distance to major attractions. Housekeeping department inattenative. Had to request reload of (apparently) doled out quantity of shower gel. Waste basket not emptied, though full. Neighborhood smell is not the neighborhood. It's the proximity to the bay and is dependent on outside air temp. This can affect the whole city. Locals don't seem to notice it. It is intermittent though. The Spa could do with better maintenance as the handrails going into the pool were wonky and there was no water in the water bottles for when you came out of the steam room and sauna. It would be nice for the bar to open before 7pm and stay open after 10.30pm. We asked for sea view and we didn't get one. Unfortunatley restaurant staff not nice at all. Making faces and gave really bad behavior when I asked for hot water to warm my baby's food. The same about (front of house manager or reception manager) she was giving wrong impression to guests, bossy and not nice at all! Treating her staff bad in front of us! And toliet seat was broken when we arrived.not to many choices in restaurant. No mirror in the bathroom which is inconvenient. No tea and coffee making facilities in our room but free beverages in the dining room during breakfast hours. The hotel is near the metro station, but the area is very huggly. Coffee at breakfast, conditioner didn't work - some stuffy in the room, balkon opened only full; TV - no russian channel, only one english and only one french, other 70 - spanish. That they tried to charge me for spa entrance while I'd three rooms including one superior room : two people had free entrance, says policy. In my opinion they only should've charged me if more people went there. Unless the rooms were paid separately, then I totally understand. In case of rain, it would be great to have some embrellas available ;)!. The bed was a little firm for me, but better that than not good. We did not eat in the hotel as thought it was a bit expensive but there is a lovely coffee shop next door and is very good for breakfast. Nothing not to like. Spa and fitness are for an extra fee. Nothing about the hotel but be cautious where you wander at night in the area - not around the hotel, more in the direction of the metro. Appeared to be a little "seedy". Spa facilities were not working while we were there. Dont think you should have to pay €9.00 for use of pool when already paid to stay in hotel. No tea making facilities in hotel room. There was just water in the room bar which is poor for 4*. A double room for two people was booked but bath accessories were given considering one person, though the towels were given considering two people. I understood there was no mistake and was done on purpose. We didn't request for more as there was no need however it's also poor service for 4*. The room itself is designed and furnitured well but looks a bit used and a renovation would not be out of place. a little out of the way however once you got your bearings, it was OK, There was a very nice restaurant just around the corner that I would recommend. Maybe a bit more walking but that was to be expected. We saw more!. The aircondition is wery cold :), and not so easy too adjust. No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast isn't included. From the pictures on the website I didn't see the hotel was so built in, so we had some problems finding it on arrival, and the view from the room wasn't the best, but that's just how it is. nothing, it was perfect. The little privacy given to the bathroom. when my parents stayed, just over a month before me and my brother stayed, my mother had a gold necklace ripped off her neck right outside the doors seconds before they checked in and no one offered to take her to the police station. she was shaken and it would have been helpful. Cooked items at breakfast not that good No tea coffee in room. The Spa didnt work during 2 days. placing the sink outside bathroom which is inconvenient to use if someone else is asleep!!. The staff didn't do the things they promised. We lost a football at the lobby. The immediate location felt a little 'rough' at night time. Having said that we had no problems. The breakfast was so-so, especially at the price. We forgot in the room our iPhone but were told that it was never found..... Breakfast was poor in quality with many items no replenishing regularly or looked they been sitting out for hours. No bath in a family room, not ideal for small children. The coffee and juice at breakfast could use improvement. the smell, it was just the spa, but it drifted through the hotel, and the bar is not available untill after 7pm. No bath., Didnt like handbasin in bedroom. understaffed at restaurant and spa. the hot water in the shower is not heated enough,kinda cold and also the water pressure is not strong enough either. Location is less than central but this is not a fault. We were visiting the key tourist sights so had to do quite a lot of walking. Maybe some english language TV channels?. Nothing.
