  Although you might have a little difficulty spotting the hotel initially as it doesnt have the obvious exterior look of a hotel, with a clear glassdoor which oversees the lobby and reception, it isnt too difficult to find as the street is not too complicated. The room is big enough (Europe standard), the bed is absolutely comfortable and the shower is mmmmmmm... what a great experience after walking Rome.   Small boutique hotel with Italian Renaissance decor. Updated bathrooms, though small by American standards, had many unique features not usually seen in hotels in the usa. The owner, Roberto, is professional and takes great pride in the attention to the details of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Very near top attractions and local cafés. We booked two single rooms and sometimes in the past we have been allocated tiny, substandard rooms. The rooms at the Celio were charming, clean and the location between the Colosseo and Laterano was fabulous. This was the first time we have ventured out of the Trevi/Tritone area. (We go to Rome each year over past 15 years and this experience was one of our most enjoyable. Grazie Roberto!!

  The staffs there were very friendly. Also, it was very very clean and comfortable. Its bed, its bathroom, its TV, its small refrigerator, .... are great. Its restaurant and the quality of their foods and the price is amazing. I suggest that try it. Only note that if you want to check in after 2PM they serve lunch until 2PM. So, if you want to eat ... what people say » your lunch there try to get there before 2PM. :) We had a really wonderful experience there and one thing more their breakfast also was very very nice - Good location in a quiet place (no noise, no traffic) for those who travel by car but do not want to use the car in Rome: there is hotel’s free garage and pedestrian access (20 min) to metro Batistini.
