  I loved Orvieto. It's quaint, quiet, and just beautiful. It's quintessential Italy. In the evening, after an afternoon shower, the cobbled streets glisten in the light of the street lamps like nowhere else I've ever been. The hotel was wonderful. The breakfast was great, an - Beautiful building,very central location,but easy to find,even without GPS,safe parking(albeit a bit tricky to enter),proximity to first class tourist attractions and fabulous restaurants and trattorias,basic,but comfortable rooms.Clearly,it is not a spa,but very adequate base for wandering trough extremely attractive old city.Recommended.

Casa Selita is in a wonderful location, so quiet but a walk up the hill through the olive groves then up the hill to the elevators or escalators and you are in wonderful Orvieto. The owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; their advice is excellent. Everything is tastefully decorated. Breakfast is good and ample. The B&B is below the city, and there is a walk through an olive grove to the road. An elevator takes you to the top of the city wall. Highest recommendation.

  We loved our stay at Lapone near Orvieto! We had 2 apartments, one for family of 3 with a young child, one for the grandparents. But when we discovered that we could get a wonderful 4-course meal for 30 Euros incl. wine, we opted for the lovely restaurant nearly every evening. It was modern, clean and everything worked well. We would definit - Beautiful large property tucked away in a stunning location surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, home grown vegetables and herbs - with panoramic views of rolling hills. The owners Catalina and Paulo, plus all their staff, were so friendly and created a really intimate and personal service. The property was such an oasis and had such a laid back, relaxed feel. The evening meals were really great, and gave us a experience of deliscious, homemade italian food. Really miss not still being there

The rooms are beautifully designed and the beds are so comfortable. The bathrooms and jet shower are so very welcome after a long day and there are plenty of clean large towels. Breakfast is typical continental, but very fresh and plentiful. I recommend Casa Di Turfo very highly and would return again if I ever get the chance to go back to beautiful Orvieto.
