  I loved Orvieto. It's quaint, quiet, and just beautiful. It's quintessential Italy. In the evening, after an afternoon shower, the cobbled streets glisten in the light of the street lamps like nowhere else I've ever been. The hotel was wonderful. Most comfortable place I stayed on my monthlong trip up and down Italy, especially for the money. Grea... what people say » t bed, very clean all around. The staff was very helpful, pointing me to a lavanderia, as well as all the sites in town. The breakfast was great, an - Beautiful building,very central location,but easy to find,even without GPS,safe parking(albeit a bit tricky to enter),proximity to first class tourist attractions and fabulous restaurants and trattorias,basic,but comfortable rooms.Clearly,it is not a spa,but very adequate base for wandering trough extremely attractive old city.Recommended.

  Our stay at La Rocca was great. It was a perfect place to relax and take in the beautiful Tuscan scenery. Our guest house was spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the patio. The facilities on site were great - unfortunately for us, it was too cold to use the stunning pool that overlooks Orvieto. The restaurant on site was fantastic. The scenery was beautiful and it was just a short trip to - This hotel is quite large with beautiful buildings and grounds. Parking is ample, although it was a short walk uphill to our room from the car. The on-site restaurant is well-decorated with professional and friendly staff who speak excellent English. The dinner was decent, but the buffet- style breakfast was excellent.   We loved our stay at Lapone near Orvieto! We had 2 apartments, one for family of 3 with a young child, one for the grandparents. But when we discovered that we could get a wonderful 4-course meal for 30 Euros incl. wine, we opted for the lovely restaurant nearly every evening. The food was great, the service also, and the staff friendly and welc... what people say » oming. We loved the pool, tennis, children's play area and all of the facilities. It was modern, clean and everything worked well. We would definit - Beautiful large property tucked away in a stunning location surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, home grown vegetables and herbs - with panoramic views of rolling hills. The owners Catalina and Paulo, plus all their staff, were so friendly and created a really intimate and personal service. The property was such an oasis and had such a laid back, relaxed feel. The evening meals were really great, and gave us a experience of deliscious, homemade italian food. Really miss not still being there
