The rooms were in good condition as well, although most rooms have windows opening up to a narrow alley where you can't even see the sky and you can almost reach out to the neighboring room.

UP is a fairly easy walking distance from the Duomo and a short taxi ride (11 euros) to the Stazione Cordona (and Malpensa Express). With a bit of planning, this makes for a fabulous city - Very comfortable hotel, perfect per city trip. Very good location, in the center of the city yet in a quiet street, close to everything, convenient to walk around the city. Very good service, staff extremely helpful and friendly. We have missed the plane and arrived the next day and get perfect assistance in re-booking as we wanted, everything went smoothly. Breakfast is also very good, as well as room service and restaurant

I booked a double room for single use (at a discounted rate) and the room was above my expectations - large, with a balcony, a big bathroom, a whole set of bathing accessories. The ceiling is v.high so the room looks very spacious and full of light. IT WAS A GREAT FINISH TO OUR HOLIDAY IN ITALY. WE ERE ABLE TO RETAIN THE SUITE TILL 1PM SO IT MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE TO OUR DAY AS WE WERE NOT GOING ON THE SLEEPER TO PARIS TILL 11.30PM. STAFF COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE ACCOMMODATING. WE OFFERED TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA HALF DAY BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE HOTEL WAS FULLY BOOKED.
