  The hotels is quiet, clean and with a fantastic breakfast. One of us was sick and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We extended our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. As for the comments about the neighbourhood, except for one street between the museum and the polytechical school it was just fine. But the room was big and clean. On the opposite side of the street is Polytechnic School so we had no "neighbours" looking through our window. Instead o lot of free parking space (in greek meaning ofc). Many police officers 24/7 in the area. Safe and quiet place.

Bear in mind this is a budget hotel, but probably because it is not in the center. But for the value, the hotel was clearly recently renovated and impeccably so. I stayed just one night and it was easy from the ferry and easy to the airport.

  Hospitality and attention of staff, especially manager, was exceptional. To the smallest details they tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible and to provide us all required information.   Great facilities for the price, great location, and friendly staff! I was thankful for the air conditioner, cable tv, and great breakfast! - It was close to the train station, clean, had what I needed. I liked that they gave me a discount as I was travelling on my own and staying in a double room.

We checked out early purely because we wanted more of an island experience rather than an 'Athens city' one. You will definitely get the feel of what it's like living right in the middle of Athens. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

  This was our second stay in this hotel - the first one had been 15 years ago and we immediately loved both the hotel and its neighbourhood. When we decided to visit Athens again this year, there was not a doubt for a single moment that we would stay at the Exarchion Hotel again. The owner of the hotel gave me a map and told which places worth visiting. Also he provided a lot of helpful information about the city. The rooms are relatively small but cozy. They were cleaned once a day. The towels were also changed on a daily basis. I was very pleased to find 2 teeth brushes and tooth paste in a bathroom. Air Condition system worked properly. Breakfast was good and substantial. Location is very convenient. It takes 20 min from the hotel to Acropolis

  The concierge spoke English well and was patient with me although the letsbookhotel.com website misrepresented the description for a "sun terrace", which is just a standard balcony and not a outdoor area with sun and views of the city. The owner was very friendly and helped me resolve my concerns and even directed me to a neighbouring 4 star hotel... what people say » called Hotel Stanley that had a pool and sun deck for pubic use so I stayed in their cheaper room and simply crossed the road to enjoy a swim and sun - Fabulous staff. Especially George. He can easily be at the Four Seasons! He, almost always went out of the way to make the stay effortless. Terrific levels of hygiene / cleanliness! I was impressed by how efficiently the room was made up by the house-keeper, in a matter of 2-3 minutes. This is probably one of the best locations for at this price range, however, the pictures (on letsbookhotel.com) showing the Akropolis from the hotel is bit of a stretch!
