all reviews » The hotel was situated very close to the metro with lots of little restaurants and shops scattered around the area. Unfortunately it isn't very close to the beach, however you can take a couple of trains and get there relatively easily in about 40mins. We checked out early purely because we wanted more of an island experience rather than an 'Athens city' one. You will definitely get the feel of what it's like living right in the middle of Athens. Staff were friendly and very helpful. It looks like a dormitory but a really clean one. Not a brand-new place but absolutely good value for money. The area in which it's located is awful, maybe just like any other city centre in big capital cities. Lots of outcasts and strange people. As soon as you get out of the area everything else from beautiful Athens is at hand. I would absolutely recommend the place for budget travellers. The hotel position is very good, just a few steps away from Metro station and anyhow not too far from Centre. Wi-fi connection was ok. The room is basic but cleanness standard was good and, in general, for what we paid it was excellent value for money. Those who want more comfort and frills should look elsewhere and be prepared to pay higher prices. We have spent 3 nights in this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Exactly what we needed as a base to explore Athens. Community kitchen and coffee vending machine in lobby area. Crisp clean linens and generous towels. I would definitely stay there again. They had an elevator which is perfect when dragging luggage around. They also had bathrooms in the rooms which was much better than the communal bathroom we had to use at the other hotel we stayed at. The guy at the front desk was amazingly helpful and its about 50m away from the Metro. The location is close to the metro and public transport. Staff are friendly and speak english. I lıked the relaxed atmosphere at the hotel wıth the nıce balcony. The locatıon was very close to the underground (just 1 mınutes walk) and there was several nıce restautrants and breakfast places close to the hotel. The location was good, we found the hotel quite easy by walking from the train station.The room was clean.The stuff was nice and very helpful. The neighborhood was a little bit strange, especially during the evening. The area may look dodgy at first but I didn't see anything unusual to be honest. Don't let the first impression of the area put you off. The hotel is located in a downtown. Room and its furniture seems a bit dated. The neighbourhood which the hotel is at is fine, but not so much just a few streets away. A bit dingy, but what do you expect?. Nothing really, it was perfect for us. After reading reviews of other places and hearing that the neighbourhood was awful we opted to pay a little more to stay here. The street was fine, infact seemed safer and more lively at night. Our car was broken into on street near hotel. Bags of clothes were taken, but we had valuables with us. Police said this is very common in this area. If you have a car make sure to take everything out of it (store in hotel luggage room) and may be worth paying €10/day at nearby parking station. I don't find. Price&quality correspond to each other. The only small minus is location, surely not the most clean and cared for part of the city. Bad wifi in the room I lived in (2nd floor); had to be in the bathroom or in the receptionarea. The AC couldn't be adjusted and marginally working (at one time it started blowing hot air). The area is fine if one sticks to the main streets. Nothing was a really nice stay everything worked. Perhaps not so objective, but: no kitchen, no hot water. A bit noisy. You can hear other people taking showers for example. nope. Not in a good area, hotel is old but ok. Very poor surroundings.
