Lovely hotel in a good location. Minutes from the Acropolis and from the metro. Was going to cancel based on reviews but glad that we didn't. Hotel position near all important places in Athens. Good breakfast, clean room.The hotel is nice, clean, elegant but modest in a very good location. The front desk staff was very good and helpful.Close to the centre of the city.
all reviews » The best thing about this hotel is its close proximity to the Acropolis and the rest of main sights in Athens. In fact, they are just a short (10-15 minutes) walk away. In addition, the subway station (Sigrou-Fix) is a block and half away. The New Acropolis Museum (not open until March 2009) is practically around the corner.This hotel is reasonably priced and has an excellent location just minutes from the Acropolis, Plaka and other sightseeing areas. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. As a solo traveller, I felt very welcome and safe. Close to the Acropolis and 5 minutes walk from the nearest tube station and across the road from the new Acropolis Museum (when it finally opens to the public) Also the staff were very helpful. Incredible staff. Outstanding service and rather comfy. location: near the metro stop named Singuru-Fiks. The front desk was helpful. They suggested that we cud take a breakfast box in our early morning departure. It is very close to city center ! Hotel is good , clean and all staff very friendly ...Close location to the Plaka. We stayed in a 3 or 4 star hotel called the Alassia near Omonia square last year and it was more like a 1 or 2 star hotel. Acropolis Select deserves its 3 star rating, the room is clean and spacious and the lobby is quite grand and the breakfast is very good. Most importantly, the hotel is well situated near Plaka/Acropoli areas.The location was ideal for our requirements, the staff were very friendly and informative, room was good value for money,. fantasic location, helpful staff. We arrived early in the morning and the staff allowed us to leave our luggage and were kind enough to arrange for our room to be ready early. Very considerate indeed. location. The reception and communal areas are excellent. The breakfast was very good too, one of the best hotel breakfasts that I've had in a while. Competitive rate for a hotel of decent quality, helpful staff, decent breakfast.The hotel is clean , in a calm area , good and help staff ,. it was close to the centre and the Acropolis. easy to move, the underground is close to the hotel and close to the centre. Obvoiusly used by overnight tour parties who crowded the reception area while waiting for their pick up. No any more Acropola view (garage in front of hotel). Parking!. My room was a bit outdated but it was very clean which compensated. It was noisy too because the room overlooked the busy street, but this is to be expected for a central location in downtown Athens. No shower head meant that I had to keep the shower in my hand while showering. Definitely unacceptable.The AC was aimed at the pillow/head area of the bed/ too chilly for me. Monotonous breakfast for 7 days.On the hotel web site and bookings web site , they said they have parking place .. But it is absolutely not true ... you must spend 10-20 minutes to park on the streets near to the hotel . And after 2 times discussions after they beleive that you dont find parking place , they let you park in front of the hotel . The top sheets were too short. The roof area was not available for Acropolis viewing.Bathroom was a bit tight. Lack of decoration in room. Bed was a bithard. noise. bathroom are old and water taps not too good and hard to regulate. The room was way too hot and we were woken by the noisy cleaners talking loudly outside our door. This was possible due to poor insulation.bathroom. The rooms let the hotel down. They were fine but i think if they modernized them a little the hotel would be loved to 4 stars.Located on an unattractive street, although the location relative to City sites and the metro is fine. The room is small , no good view , no good terrace for the room. breakfast, fried eggs and ham was dry, the coffee was very light ( braun water). bathroom and noise of the streets.
