The Acropolis Hill Hotel was ideally situated; easy to find from Syngrou- Fix Metro Station and a pleasant walk to and from historic sites in and around the Acropolis, and the Plaka and Monastiraki areas (and the information centre which is also well worth a visit for free maps, guides and advice). all reviews » After the initial hitch of being told there was no room available (one was found when we said this wasn't acceptable) we were delighted with the hotel. Only a few mins walk to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Rooms on the front of the hotel have Acropolis view. About 10 mins walk to the old-town area of Plaka. Nice swimming pool. Lovely modern decor throughout and great breakfast. Lovely. The location is quite good, Acropolis can be reached in 10 min walk. A very nice view from the room window to Acropolis. The room was a little small for three people (but I had been advised of this in research I had conducted), and a variety of fresh fruit would have been welcomed and breakfast. Nothing - but some sun-loungers and parasols on the roof terrace would be a welcome improvement on the space. The swimming pool is symbolic, it was so small that we even didn't think of using it. Also the room was quite small but oK for 2 people (for 3 people it could be really problematic although there was a 3rd bed in the room). To older people would not recommend to go by metro from the airport because there are stairs and the hill is quite steep so in +30 it can be a challenge to reach the hotel with suitcases. Rooms though modern and updated, were a little cramped. The shower head in 114 could have a wall mounting bracket. Nothing. Pool was not filled. Best to get a taxi there the walk from the centre is uphill!. The cleanness in the room. Small room, but it was not a problem. We had a veri big problem to find hotel , because there is an error in the spelling of the street. The real name is ""Mousson", with double "S". but in the maps the street is spelled Mouson, but it is not error of the hotel. Rooms are a bit narrow and bathrooms quite small. too small rooms. Walking up the hill / steps to the hotel from Sygro Fix metro station. Small room. The location it's at the top of a steep hill , then you have steps. The shower most ridiculous design.You have to walk through the shower area to go to the toilet. the shower heads were very low. Thought it was overpriced at 120€ for a twin room since the room was a bit cramped and the beds quiet soft and a bit too saggy for my back so I had to use the harder pull out sofa bed rather than my actual bed. For the money I would have expected a better quality, more supportive mattress and a bigger room. Rooms are far too small, nearly impossible to walk past the bed and nowhere to store suitcases. Wardrobe at end of bed unable to be accessed. Shower very small. Wifi only really works in rooms on city side of hotel. Breakfast adequate but uninspiring. Pool was a disappointment as it is right down the bottom of the building and although it is outside it doesn't get any sun. It is a long hill to get down to anywhere and then back again. room too small, shower so small a big person would not be able to shower, ridiculous. Teeny tiny room. Over chlorinated pool and FREEZING. Pool is overshadowed by surrounding buildings, so despite the warm day, it got no sun, neither did we. Tiny bathroom, so shower wet the toilet and water got onto the floor of the room nearest the bathroom. Not near nice eateries. Staff did not help with luggage. All, please beware when booking rooms. I booked a triple room and even specified 3 single beds but when we arrived I was told the reservation was only for one person so we were charged extra for 2 more people! The rooms are small and the balcony is basically useless because of how small it is. The desk clerk is very brash to the point of rude. The rooms were small, our second rooms' bathroom shower was in the middle, but the toilet was behind it.The second person can't go to the toilet while the first one is showering. TINY rooms! And the breakfast buffet was a bit lacking in choices. Close to the Acropolis (just under 10mins), but a terrible walk uphill to get back to hotel. Would not recommend to elderly or those who can't walk too far/uphill. The shower isn't sealed in the corners and there is no overhead shower, just handheld hose, we managed to flood the bathroom. Too narrow rooms,too small bedroom!.
