While pricey - this resort is worth every penny - the rooms are beautifully appointed with excellent views of the bay, ocean or forest. The Wild Pacific Trail is easily accessed and enjoyed from the lodge. The restaurant and cafe were well priced with excellent menus. Ucluelet is a great town for wildlife viewing - stay around this area for the best chance at sea otters.

Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the
Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi,
also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day.
As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size
didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn
met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very

The first thing that impressed us was the attentive and accommodating staff. Then it was the cleanness if the hallways and rooms. We also thought the design and the colour palettes were pleasing, restful, and reflective of a seashore setting. Finally. Easy to access-park infront of your room-recently renovated-clean-good sized room-staff were very nice-asked for a kettle and they brought us a choice of two.
