Loved having my morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the wildlife marshland preservation area. Room was modern with all amenities. Grounds had beach area, pool area, gym, dock and boat rentals. Also beside yacht club. Lovely restaurant next door. -

The price was cheaper than any other hotel in the area. They had a free breakfast included with your stay which included scrambled eggs, back bacon, cold and hot cereals, toast & English muffins and more.
We booked online and everything was ready for us to go to our room when we arrived. Staff were very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the room was so clean. We would definatly recommend this place.

While pricey - this resort is worth every penny - the rooms are beautifully appointed with excellent views of the bay, ocean or forest. The Wild Pacific Trail is easily accessed and enjoyed from the lodge. The restaurant and cafe were well priced with excellent menus. Ucluelet is a great town for wildlife viewing - stay around this area for the best chance at sea otters.

We came in off season as to us it would be too busy in high season. We were upgraded to a lovely 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for the price!! The view of the lake and the vineyards across the lake was fantastic. Loved the morning sun coming over the mountains. Having a full kitchen and two baths was a bonus. The bed was so comfortable. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. We were given the option of choosing our room after getting to see both. The hotel has a lot of character throughout and the Restaurant is excellent. We ate supper and Breakfast there and were not disappointed. JP is the perfect host and all staff were attentive to our needs and seemed happy to be working there.

I thought the staff was great - VERY helpful in regard to a number of things, particularly where to find things I was looking for (good dinner & breakfast spots, how to get to the lifts and which way to go to get coffee on the way, etc.). The facilities were nice - it would have been great to be a couple and have the lovely spa tub right there in the main room to enjoys each other's company with the fireplace, view, television handy, etc.
