We stayed just one night on a short visit to Whistler and were given a free upgrade on arrival. We had a large, comfortable room with a full kitchen, seating and dining areas, a fireplace, a double whirlpool bath and a views of the mountains. Although we arrived several hours before the advertised check-in time, we were given a room straight away. The hotel was quiet and we had a great night's sleep. We liked being able to prepare our own breakfast in the room at our leisure the next mornin.
all reviews » I thought the staff was great - VERY helpful in regard to a number of things, particularly where to find things I was looking for (good dinner & breakfast spots, how to get to the lifts and which way to go to get coffee on the way, etc.). The facilities were nice - it would have been great to be a couple and have the lovely spa tub right there in the main room to enjoys each other's company with the fireplace, view, television handy, etc. Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff and excellent location. It is way from the busiest streets...but close enough to them, only a couple of minutes walk. Well placed for shopping and dining as well as accessing the slopes. Well priced. Dog friendly. Staff at front desk were great, very helpful. We showed up early on day of check in to ski and they checked us in hotel without even asking which was very nice. Also made dinner reservations for us and helped us to get around. we loved the location and thought this was excellent value for money. Loved the spa bath which was welcomed after walking around and being up Blackcombe Mountain which was freezing. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an ideal position for Whistler village near to the centre but far enough away to be quiet. Excellent place to stay. Good value for money. We had a great view of the mountain. They gave us a free upgrade because it was my birthday. That was totally unexpected and wonderful. Staff was friendly and so helpful. Location was beautiful. It was affordable for what we needed. My favorite part was there was a nice hot tub in the room. BIG thumbs up for that!. Size of the room and we had cooking facilities. We had a balcony as well Able to walk into the village. excellent location,could walk into the center, we had jacuzzi in the room and really comfortable beds. The location just out of the pedestrian busy area was excellent. The size of the room and balcony were both good. The staff were absolutely incredible. In our experience a check out time of 10am is early for hotel accommodation. I was travelling between both the winter adventure and summer adventure seasons, so I relaxed in the room when not on the hill, mostly because there wasn't all that much going on in town. It was very relaxing without all the usual hustle and bustle of Winter Whistler going on actually :). Nothing. Nothing - would stay there again. The fridge in the room was too noisy. Had to pay for parking. Starting to look a little worn in the kitchen and bathroom. A little far from the hub of the village, however was nice and quiet. It was a tad bit off the beat and path, but not bad.. Take note we also are with a 4.5 y/o.. And it was cold and windy that day. It was not easy to find, with the Village being laid out for pedrestians. nothing in particular. didn't like the closet, bath in the bedroom. Nada. Young people arrive in weekends -lots of noise in hallways until 3.00am - happened twice on our trip - should close pool area earlier than 10.00pm - spas in room make a lot of noise when above room. I couldn't get the room temperature just right. It's getting a little tired. About the only thing bad was the elevator was slow!. The lobby is too modest.It doesn't feel like a good hotel. Nothing really, except there was construction, but they did not start until 9, we got free parking for the inconvenience, and $20 off the price of the room. Curtains did not go to top of window and let light in. no breakfast. The air conditioner/heating unit was right beside the bed. Very close. Uncomfortable for the person closest to it. Charging for parking and the small parking spaces. A bit run down. Hard to find fault but could have been more info in the rooms re restaurants etc. Also the wifi didn't work at times. 10am check out time is too early. Lobby access and lift. ... the cold weather in mid-May. Could have been a bit cleaner. Didn't stay long. Room temperature. Far too hot and you couldn't turn down. The décor was very tired and scruffy. The room was very hot. No balcony furniture to sit out. Being charged for overnight parking. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. On the beds and the pullout. Carpets were quite dirty. The fridge compressor kept kicking on and was loud, ended up unplugging it so I could sleep. Rooms are clean but unimpressive for Whistler.
