I recently stayed here for 1 week while attending a conference. The hotel was an amazing place to stay that is within walking distance to shops, conference centre, metro and old Montreal. I have never come across such helpful, thoughtful and kind staff anywhere else in the world (I lost my passport) The room I had was modern and spotless, the bed was comfortable, air con worked a treat. There was a bit of street noise on Friday and Saturday night but my 3 colleagues who had other rooms said the.

Room was perfect for what we wanted, we only found out when we were checking out that we were put in a room they usually give to single travellers but it was more than ample for us. Very friendly staff, in English, French and a wee bit of Scots! Rooms were spacious, very clean and beds comfy. Ideally located to explore all of the city. Ten mins walk to the old city, Port and 2 main walk to a Metro St. Highly recommended. The room was much smaller than pictured or stated and there was no elevator and we had to carry heavy luggage up two flights of stairs. We are in our 60's and this wrecked the trip having our backs wretched by lifting heavy luggage. Wifi connection was slow at times. To enter the building requires walking up two flights of very steep steps. With luggage this was difficult. They did help us move in but we had to move ourselves out. Wouldn't recommend this place if you have heavy luggage. Be warned that the lobby itself is up a steep flight of stairs, and there is no elevator to rooms. Staff will help with luggage. None. without elevator. Beds were a little hard. Sketchy people hanging around outside of building. Very very firm bed. Can get loud at night from both the outside Montréal and other people staying at the hotel in the hallway. Limited choice of breakfast offered through vouchers for nearby Café Dépôt. Having to carry the luggage several floors by stairs. No shampoo in the bathroom (minor). Nothing. Its in a mild red light district. Nothing. very loud noise from downstairs premises kept me up all night. Lack of elevator. Lack of elevator. The breakfast - this is at another establishment a few minutes walk up the road, don't bother, but if you are walking up that way, go past and on the next corner is egg-cetera - great breakfasts.
