The location and price.we liked your price and the hotel is very well situated - the staff was very polite. Convient location in downtown Montreal. convenient location and good service. The absolute best thing about this hotel is: location Location location!It's at the intersection of the Chinese and International Quarters, andwithin walking distance of Old Montreal, the Underground City, shopping,the clubs on Crescent Street, Schwartz's Deli on Boul. St. Laurent, andthe Latin Quarter. It's also a 2.5 block walk to each of 2 (diff. Lines)Metro stations.Great location and the great pricing. Very convenient with parking located below. Hotel is in a great location. Price is very good.The price is right and its downtown which is good. Location.location. Facilities are old but clean enough. Specutacular views from windows. Kitchen was well well equipted for long term stay. The hotel staff wasfriendly, they let me leave the bags in the luggage room before the check-in time and didn't mind my leaving a laptop at the reception for thedaytime every day. My room was very spacious, with a kitchenette. It was uncomplicated, but there was no dresser in the room for clothing, and only one chair. It was also hard to get the whole room warm.. one area was warm (by the bed) but the rest was cold , but if you ran the heater, the bed area was hot and the bath, kitchen and sitting area very chilly.The room sizes were excellent with plenty of room in the living room and bedroom. The pool and facilities were clean and uncrowded. The two downstairs restaurants were also fantastic and priced fairly reasonably. It was very affordable and conveniently located right in the middle of Montreal. It was clean and suited our needs just fine.The size of the room - a large sitting room with separate bathroom, bedroom and small kitchen. I liked the location of the hotel and the staff was very helpful, bathroom was clean. central location, hotel room - suite with kitchen, spacy room. cloose to down town. Location. Parking worked out OK but was limited. the last day there wasn't cold water just very hot only. The wifi and the breakfast arrangements. They should organise an earlierbreakfast schedule for business persons I.E. from 0630hrs.Parking. Some floors are not smoke free. I had to ask to be relocated because of the mix of cigarette and deodorisor smell. The second room was fine.The plumbing water taps were worn out badly. Should definitely be replaced. the only thing I didnot like - the rugs were not very clean -. closet is broken. The suites could use an update, but at this price, you shouldn't beexpecting something fancy, just comfortable and serviceable, which it was.We stayed for 5 nights, and our suite was clean (and cleaned daily) andcompletely bedbug free.Room was a bit stuffy and the hot water temperature control in the shower was dangerous at times with scalding one second and cool the next.. A little rundown, but the location makes it worth it.My room smell like cigarette smoke. We booked : (1) for 2 nights (30 july to August) , (2) for 1 night (3-4 August). The first studio had a very strong smoke odor. The second studio was excellent. The wi-fi cost was discouraging.check in and getting any questins answered by staff at reception takes a long time as they are very busy and there is only one person on duty. Our tv was busted when we checked in and it took 20 minutes to get someone to come and look at it. Also, the window in the living room opened but not the one in the bedroom.Bathroom walls were cracked and dirty. Broadloom of Hallway and in the room were dirty, poor bedding, sofa was not in a good shape. Very good Kitchen, however, without Microwave.towels. Smell of smoke. TV not in good condition (poor colour balance). I did not like the extra fee for the Internet and for the phone. front desk person the first evening, I did not find all that accomodating and friendly.Daily rate for Parking. The room was old and so-so clean. Wi-fi wasn't free. One day bothelevators didn't work. Still a good hotel for budget travellers.No ice machine. and no microwave in the kitchenette. The hotel staff was extremely unhelpful on many occasions and even rude as if we were interrupting her day by asking a question or asking for more towels. The hotel front desk staff had such a bad attitude and would not take the time to explain anything.Mostly the water was very poor. The shower felt like I was getting hit by hail, and the drinking water was very undrinkable. It had some foam on it and no matter how long we left it running it was still dirty. It's a little run down, but cheap. No bar.The room had a strange odor, wasps in a window between the two sliding panels, elevator was old but worked. it was a bit hot and humid in the room, the cleaning was some days very poor and unsufficent. Beds are not that comfortable. The electrical is a little scary and the $5 alram clock was broken. Otherwise the room was clean and very spacious. Heating controls are not easy to regulate. No coffee machine in the rooms.
