As expected with Marriott hotels, it was clean, the staff very helpful and mattress was very comfortable! The valet parking was very expensive but worth it to just get out of your car and hand over the keys. Unfortunately, I lost my car claim ticket. Fortunately, they gave me a newer car when it was returned so that worked out well! Great proximity to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39. Also, went to the Academy of Science and the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Always great places to vis.
all reviews » We stayed with 7 mo old in Double room, and it was quiet tiny. There is no much space to place crib - maybe King room is more comfortable in that case. But armchair was great for nursing. Beside that we liked everything in that hotel, especially location. Location could not be better. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds comfortable. We had 2adults and 2 12 year olds in twin queen room adequate space for us. Fridge handy. Transport close by tram and buses. Close to wharf area easy walk. Location; wonderful, helpful staff; room cleanliness; immediate service when requested; quiet! No appreciable noise from adjacent rooms; nice workout room; great breakfast provided!. I liked the fact that we could store or vehicle on the premises and walk to so many different destinations and points of interest. Very close to Fishermans Wharf, actually much closer than it looks on the map. Clean. Great location, well maintained building, cofortable, great staff. I know that our neighbors complained about our baby crying at nights. So walls are pretty thin. Valet parking price - $57/night with tax. I recommend to try to find another place to park, I saw sighs nearby about $30 for overnight parking. Really, nothing not to like, except for the very pricey parking fee of $48 per day. Otherwise, we really felt well-cared for, and would definitely stay at this hotel next year. The beds! I can understand a room with one (1) bed having a king size, but when we bring our two young daughters, two (2) double-size beds are just too small! It would have been much more comfortable for all of us has the beds at least been queen size. Valet tried to park our car with a brand new Thule box on top in their underground parking lot, the box hit the top hard enough it scraped it and moved the box . No one told us only reason we knew is the white scrapes from the cement roof and the fact our box moved 6 inches - parking was 50.00 a night and you basically had to pay it the lots nearby cost the same. Cost of parking and breakfast pricing. Double beds. Perhaps a hotel of this standing could offer Queen Beds. Travelling with 2 children meant we were sharing a bed, so the extra room would have been appreciated. Prices....... The shower head and no water pressure. Paying to park at the hotel as a guest. Short room service hours. Wifi is expensive and not very fast. Parking is very expensive $50 per day. small room for our family. No Complaints. I appriciate that I was given free internet because I stayed seven days, but it was free at every other hotel I stayed at on my trip, and they were cheaper hotels and just as nice. We felt that $50.00 a night for parking was outrageous on top of and already very expensive room rate with tax and fees. Luckily we had $200.00 in Marriott coupons after which the room was still well over $700.00 It is sad when a hotel must gouge its customers in this way. Airconditioning is beyond noisy! We tried 3 different rooms and they were all the same, outdated system that might be fitting for a factory but not to a USD 269 a night hotel. We switch the aircon system off at night and opened the window to get some sleep. And no complementary wifi is no service! Learn from Starbucks!. It'S. 2013....In room wifi for your guests who are paying a great amount of money to stay (free!) would me a good ammenity. Other hotels give it. I'M. A rewards member but not a "gold" member. Other people who are gold members got free wick and breakfast. Don't quite understand that. Beds were terrible. Room smelled. Service in restaurant below pat.
