The hotel was very clean. We had a beautiful room. The staff were very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was lovely. We have sent an email to the hotel telling them how nice it was. The rooms were lovely and the facilities excellent, especially knowing we were paying a bargain price!. Food and facilities. the friendly staff who all had a smile for the people staying there.one of your managers a blonde lady who booked me in around 3 15pm is a great asset to ye.i wish i had taken her name to tell ye how professional she was.

Nothing bad at all, just a little noter that food is now good (was not always!) but is a little pricey in general I think. The hotel meal prices were very high. I stayed on the forth floor and only one (out of two) lifts were working. As this was Crufts weekend and the hotel was full (with dogs and people) the stairs were nowhere near the lifts and it took ages to go up or down. My only complaint. The restraunt was closed had to eat in the bar very expensive for pub food. hotel is really fine. paying for car parking. City prices. Need to pay for car park. Should be inclusive if you are staying. Alsoreception needs extra staff at chek out times.The room wasnt as clean as i would expect as bath still had hair in it from previous occupant and cobwebs on ceiling. cost. Room was too hot even at the lowest temperature setting! Maybe something wrong with the thermostat?. Had our evening meal in their gastro pub but was disappointed with menu choice and quality of meal. The price of drinks in the bar was excessive - £18.95 for 2 drinks. Unable to reduce the temperature in the room! . the bar was very expensive. We requested non smoking and were put into a smoking room. Some of the light switches/tiles were a bit on the grubby and worn side. Not what I would have expected for a Hilton. Food and drink prices on the hefty side. Will not be so keen on eating and relaxing in the hotel of an evening.Lack of communication between staff members. Dreary view outside . . . N/A. long wait at the bar - staff not aware of who was first. slow check in. Ate there once in the Lounge and never again! Waited 35 minutes for acroqe monsieur, although the bill arrived minutes after order was takenalready including the "discretionary" 10% service charge. If I'd hadtime, I'd have had it removed! Geared to people claiming expenses andnoticed different treatment of Convetion attenders v ordinary guests bysome staff. we were told the restaurant was not open until 6.30pm which was too late for us due to start time of concert - it should be open earlier. When I checked in I was given a designated smoking room, without being asked of my preference. As I was there for the Smoking Cessation Conference I wasn't very pleased about this. But the staff were helpful and moved us within 10 minutes to a non-smoking room. Also there was a very large, noisy generator or something outside my room which kept me awake. Drinks at the bar very very expensive. no dressing gown and slippers normally in a hilton. Not sign posted very well inside the hotel, sepecially signs fromreception to the nec. Not sure if their was a shuttle service to thenec either. The cost of food and drinks and the automatic adding of 10% service charge. it appears that one of the rooms allocated to one of my female guests was bouble booked ... it came as quite a shock for her to find a strange [and allegedly naked] man in what she felt sure was her room - indeed the key worked to let her in ... - when she came to retire for the evening!!!.
