The Hotel is clean and very ideally located next to the airport which is why I stopped here, for the price it was a really good find. Would recommend this hotel to anyone catching a train or flight out of Birmingham international as although it is next door to the train station, airport, NEC and a busy road you couldn't hear much noise when the window was opened unlike at the hotels in the airport while watching the wildlife outside eat and play during the day and night.

There were more of our party staying at the Hilton, but the Ramada's location was so much better!! Easy to get to/from the train station, nec centre etc. I was so happy with it, it exceeded my expectations by miles! And such great value for money too. Bathroom was modern and the shower was very good. The 2 nights we stayed the hotel was fully booked, I was surprised at how quite it was in the evening. Fantastic value for money. Great quality - not five-star, but great hotel- level facilities for cheap B&B-level prices! Power socket right by the bed is very useful in today's smartphone era. The breakfast buffet was good, the staff were helpful and courteous, and all for rock bottom price. Thumbs up. The location of the hotel was perfect for me - a few minutes walk from Birmingham International Rail Station, and from the NEC. My room was very clean, comfortable and spacious - I couldn't fault it. The bar and restaurant area was buzzing, and food and drink reasonably priced. Friendly staff, clean. Room was basic but more than adaquate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was great, good choice of cereals, yoghurts etc. then you helped yourself to whatever you wanted from the the hot selection. Great location for the LG Arena, about a 10 minute walk. Very nice hotel, very good priced room considering it more luxury then other hotels I have stayed in at the same price in other cities where the rooms very basic so was really impressed with the room for price paid as was similar to hotels where I paid 3 times the price. Booking in was a breeze, v helpful staff. The room had everything I wanted, was clean and comfortable. The shower was good and hot. Breakfast was well laid out, with a good selection of both hot and cold food. 5 mins walk from the NEC - perfect!. Excellent value. No frills but everything works and staff are efficient and friendly. At breakfast one morning a member of staff came to find me to tell me something on the buffet had been replenished. He went the extra mile and it impressed me. I travel a lot through work and often the check in process isn't as smooth as id like. This hotel on the other hand had the quickest smoothest check in ever. I literally walked in, greeted immediately and had my key card within 2 mins. Perfect. The staff were so helpful they could not do enough for you in such a cheery manner, the receptionist on duty was one of the best receptionist in a hotel I have come across, name Kurtis. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel was amazingly close to the NEC, and even though it was right next to the airport, and we had an airport-facing room, you couldn't hear any of the planes. The room was very clean and modern, as was the entire hotel. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. Also the restaurant staff (all those I encountered and I encountered quite a few) were very efficient and although travelling on my own I did not feel at all uncomfortable. We had a great stay at the ramada, stayed over after going to a concert at the lg arena, staff were all lovely, chatty and helpful have booked again to stay in a few weeks when coming back to lg arena for another concert. Great location for the LG Arena & NEC - only about a 10 minute walk away. Equally handy if you are travelling a long way to Birmingham International for an early morning flight and want to come down the night before. The best thing about the hotel was its location - it's perfect for the NEC, Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International Station. We liked that there was a spacious area in which to relax before retiring to our room. Clean, comfy and modern. good bathroom and shower. Excellent location for both the NEC and Airport(with 5 minute walk to the shuttle that takes direct to airport terminal). overall satisfied customer would stay again. Clean and comfortable, very convenient to leave the car (2 days and 1 night for £7) and walk to the Exhibition Centre, literally 5 minutes and you join the covered walkway that links the NEC to the railway station. We made a last minute booking to make sure we could make it to the airport early on Saturday morning when severe weather conditions were forecast. Only a few minor things which needs updating, the floor in the shower was uneven and grout was missing between the tiles, while in the shower the water started to overfill the lip and start to leak over the side as the drain was clogged with hair which I pulled out and binned it, using the hairdryer tripped the electrics on one side of the room which could be down to a faulty hairdryer or electrics. except for a few minor things nothing else was wrong. I liked everything about it! :-). Nothing. Not much to criticise. There aren't any complementary biscuits in the room's coffee tray? The bar was closed at midnight? letsbookhotel.com said there wasn't the option to pay for breakfast but the hotel were happy to let me. There is nothing much else in the vicinity of the hotel - it is pretty much an area of industrial estates - so not particularly picturesque. However it served my purpose perfectly. The bed was a little to hard for me, but that is a personal choice. Only one plug socket worked out of three. Could not get WIfi connection in the room on an I Pad, only on a laptop that you plugged in. You had to go down to the HUB for anything else. Breakfast price if paying seperately to room could be bit lower for what it is but was convenience as nothing near by to have breakfast. Nothing. My only problem was that the mattress was a little hard, but the pillows were perfect and it didn't stop me from having a good night's sleep. I was a little cold in my room although I put the heating on max (but then I'm from the south and I am always cold).There was also someone else's hair in the shower drain and a couple of dead flies in my room. It's a bit basic and impersonal. Beware if using a sat-nav to find it, you'll end up somewhere in the NEC car parks and need assistance from the staff to get back out again... Happens so often they have a printed guide!. We definitely felt the location of the hotel could be better indicated both on its web page and on arrival on the site as a whole. Staff in the NEC were unsure of its location too and struggled to give us detailed directions. Bar area and restaurant a bit on the functional side. Got woken up a 6.30 am by very noisy pipework that hummed every time people in a nearby room turned the taps or shower on. Burger buns were like rocks! - two nights running. Asked for them not to be toasted but made no difference. Small point, but annoying. Otherwise the food was plentiful and very tasty. The food wasn't the cheapest but I suppose you have to be prepared for that staying in a hotel. Also was a little surprised there was no hair dryer supplied in the room which left me wandering around with wet hair! Apart from that all was good. A man knocked on our door at 10am and because we didn't answer as we were sleeping due to our long journey home he let himself in!! I was not happy about this one bit and as far as I knew it was a 12-12:30 check out time. This needs to be sorted as I wouldn't like it to happen again. The £7:50 car park fee. Only 1 lumpy pillow on the bed (per person) and stiff scratchy bed linen. The window didn't close properly and the busy road was quite noisy. shower tiles required new grout bit tired and lots of gaps and looked dirty ;(. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable was the only bad thing about the hotel. Lighting in the room could have been brighter. Complex way to reach hotel along the highroads. Parking fee should be free since every area around hotel is payable and difficult to facilitate airport or railway connections if with a car. Internet socket in room was broken, offered to swap rooms but for 2 nights wasnt worth the up heaval as we had already unpacked and there was wifi in public areas :). We didn't get a very good sleep because we could hear a dog barking. In the morning when I looked out of the window there was a van parked right under our window, which was used to take dogs to dog shows. That must be what we could hear. Also, the people in the room opposite ours were extremely rude and thought it was acceptable to allow their children to run up and down the corridor and shout at each other outside our room. Extremely inconsiderate, considering it was 12.30 at night. Nothing really but perhaps the soap despensers do not emmit enough soap unless they are pressed several times. Parking charges for hotel guests although £7 isn't otherwise uncompetetive. I wasnt given an invoice upon checking-out. The receptionist when we checked out added the cost of the room to our bill when it had been prepaid before arrival. She was adamant that we hadn't paid until I found my original email confirmation. Her attitude was very sharp which was a shame as the rest of the staff were more than helpful. you have to walk a little bit from Birmingham International to the Hotel, and in the middle of the night it doesn't seem that safe cause the neighbourhood is kinda creepy (not a soul around). But it's a 5 min walk anyway, so that's ok. Management in charge of the Dining room, very curt, meals served in a manner made me feel like we should not be here( plates slammed down on the table) not good, lets the Hotel down somewhat.
