I must say we were very impressed with Hostal Las Fuentes. Everything was better than expected: hotel staff, location, cleanliness of the room, quietness, very good value for money. We'd definitely recommend this Hostal. Great place!

Perfect location especially for that price

Did not have a lift and I had a heavy luggage so it was a bit difficult

the room was lovely and big and extremely comfortable. We asked for a room away from reception and with a window and we got this! very friendly staff and a fantastice location. Extremely clean with good security.

Very neat and cosy hostal with excellent location (from one hand it's located just in the center of the city - 5 minutes walking to Puerte del Sol, from the other hand there are rather quiet). Staff was very friendly, speaks English and is always ready to help. There is free wi-fi in every room and also free computers in the common room.

Hotel very clean and very central which was great for a short visit to Madrid

The only down side was lack of facilities to make hot drinks - we Brits like our tea first thing in the morning

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel location is fantastic right in the middle of the city. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Clean and cosy.

The size of the room was very small, but if your are looking only for a place to sleep and have a shower, the hotel is perfect.

The rooms and the especially the bathroom were impecably clean. The staff was very, very friendly and most helpful. The hostal is very centrally located. A very short walk to the major sights, restaurants, and night life. We were very happy with our experience and will certainly stay here again.

It would have been nice to have a dresser and mirror in the room. Other than the armoir, there was no where to put our clothes. The only mirror was the one in the bathroom. The towels in the bathroom were in poor condition.

It's very clean, nice and confortable. People of the staff are very nice. The hostal is located in a perfect corner downtown, between Opera and Puerta del Sol

I loved the friendly staff so much that I canceled my second hotel reservation and stayed on for the remainder of the trip. Plus- the vending machine in the common guest room dispenses beer! And having wireless internet and the use of 2 computer stations was fantastic for my work. Cannot beat the location for Madrid- it's perfect.

I didn't appreciate being asked to vacate my room so that it could be cleaned– I was working late most nights and needed the mornings to re-cooperate. And, my headboard was not actually attached to the bed, and so it would bang against the wall everytime I moved in bed. I'm sure the staff wondered why I kept socks on the bedposts. It would be better to not have had a headboard at all.
